You got to watch it, I'm not even gonna try to explain it, but a lot of reggae greats like jacob miller, Gregory Isaacs, Kiddus I, and others are in it. You GOT TO WATCH IT! I can give you a link, the movie is floating around on youtube.

Here is some reggae I just uploaded.

I was lucky enough to go to the Montreal Reggae Festival with my dad, uncle and cousin last year for 4 days as birthday present. Well, it was half a present, I had to pay for the flights. dozingoff.gif

Got to see Black Uhuru which was great.

Nice! I heard that one is really great. My friends have been going to Reggae on the River (now Reggae Rising) for the past couple of years and all I hear is greatness. It's held every first weekend of August up in the Humboldt mountains.

Not to mention you can walk around and smoke, do, anything while you're up there. A little pricey but worth all the privacy from outside law enforcement.

Not so much a Reggae festival but there will be a good bit of reggae there. Apart from the Reggae tent there'll be Max Romeo (I chase the Devil) and Trojan Soundsystem and more at Life Festival in Galway, Ireland. Last year Dreadzone played. They were cool.

I can't wait to be out of my tree listen to this sh*t in an amphitheatre shaped field! smile.gif

That has to suck. What are you like 15-16? Where is it at?

I dunno where you could get a fake ID in your city/town, but the internets isn't a bad place to start looking. Other than that, sneak in thru the back. It's worked for me several times.

That kind of events or so relax, that if you hang around the back, you can surely get in. I would go, Lee Perry doesn't have that many years left.

Whats wrong with The Spear topdog? He's one of the great legend's that are still with us and making GOOD music, unlike most sh*t that's playing out there.

I was aware Mikey Dread was old, but did not know about his death... cryani.gif

I loved his music, and thought he was a great dub/reggae artist like Burning Spear is.

Here's me smoking to Mikey Dread's: Dread Combination.

Anyone ever check much bashment? Hardly listen to anything new..scene went f*cked up..commercial ..sean paul and that (although when he first came out i hav eto admit he was pretty fresh) Still got loads of tapes of old stuff, and loads of Goldfinger and DJ Village (rip) from the mid 90s when i started listening. Some wicked riddims coming out then.."Showtime" man, personal favourite. Had a tape where it was just Showtime riddim for like 40 minutes, sh*t was mesmerising. Haha didnt understand a lot of what they were chatting mind you.

f*ck, just found it on youtube. Still raw.

Yeah, Sean Paul is no good when it comes to dancehall. Listen to some Anthony B or Sizzla for good Dancehall. icon14.gif

My Friends went to Reggae Rising 2 years ago and told me that Sean Paul got booed off stage. Haha, that must've been ace. icon14.gif

Heres some Roots for all of you. Tell me what you think.

Eh, why the f*ck people think im advising anyone to listen to sean paul? Probably my erratic typing, mind you. Although I still stand by the statement that when he first dropped..97ish..people were rating him. Went downhill pretty quickly after that.
