Made this the other day...

...wake me up when there's a new Midnight Club series. Current racing games are easy to the point that I don't even want to bother anymore...

Possibly an unpopular opinion, but if they ever decide to make a new Midnight Club, I think they should try to build upon the physics and feel of what we experienced in GTA V. It felt enjoyable at times but not everything is perfect.

Midnight Club: Los Angeles is still my favourite street racing game, beats even the sad attempt of a game that the last Need For Speed was.

It aged well, looks good and plays great. Running at 1080p on PS3, makes LA really stunning. From the world that feels alive, pedestrians, healthy amount of traffic, planes and helicopters. To a day and night cycle, weather, landmarks and loads of ads and product placement.

The city overall is designed very well with racing in mind, lots of shortcuts and amazing stunts.

The game has a good amount of customization (though not Underground 2 level). It still allows for making a car look completely different from the time you bought it, and every car and bike has custom parts.

Racing is really over the top, from shortcuts, different car classes that can participate to police showing up mid races.

It's awesome when racers split up, you take route through the shop braking glass, one dude jumps over your car, the other comes with police on his tail form a street.

Too bad R* closed down the servers because MCLA had some of the best online communities ever, from people meeting up on the beach showing off their awesome... and some eye burning creations, doing drag races, players being cops (I liked to do that from time to time), and obviously racing.

Making the online a great experience, there were some fun moments where you did a race, and passing by some players as cops chasing another player. Or drag racers screaming at players for ruining their drag, where 8 others just zoomed by and some of them collided. It's a shame some  players will never experience the online part of this game.

That's my experience and opinion on Midnight Club: Los Angeles, everyone has their own.
