And Red Dead

We don't know that. Until they cough something up, Red Dead is in the same corner as Midnight Club.

It would be awesome if MC moved into having proper storylines. MCLA did it nicely, the occasional cutscene to give you explanation for what you're doing, but some more mission-based driving and stuff would be awesome. Scripted chase scenes, driving people from A to B, that kind of thing.

This game is a masterpiece though, there are pretty much no criticisms for it. Everything is excellent.

In the next game, I'd like if the cutscenes were told from the driver's perspective though, like what NFS did. NFS greenscreen cutscenes looked odd, but the first person was nice.

The way you drive into car parks to start race events is cool too, they should make them feel more like events for the next time. More people, loud music etc.

I'll admit I have only one criticism for the game. Which is the lack of car brand variety :( don't get me wrong as it's a superb game, but they just weren't enough cars to keep my "always experimenting" gaming style contained. I pretty much know every car and it's handling style in the game right now :(

But apart from that, amazing game. Worthy of 9 out of 10 :)

Why on Earth would they REMASTER a game that's not even 10 years old? I'm pretty sure they would just make a new one instead. The Crew isn't sh*t, your taste is. NFS Rivals does look pretty bad but Most Wanted and Hot Pursuit are epic games - again, your taste is sh*t. I agree. Street racing games are pretty dead. That's because nobody wants to make one. People these days either buy games like GTA, or Battlefield, or Call of Duty. Most racing games that are bought today are Forza and Gran Turismo. Driveclub had several issues but I haven't even played it so I can't judge.

I don't understand you guys. Some of you complain that there's no arcade street racers, but then a good one comes around and you criticize it to death.. No wonder why nobody really makes street racing games anymore.. make up your god damn minds.

The Crew isn't sh*t, your taste is.

You like a game with Ps2 graphics, Terrible car physics, rubberband AI, a cliché story, bad audio and filled to the brim with micro transactions?
Okay then...

At least MCLA has fun physics, good graphics (that are actually better than The Crew) and no micro transactions in sight. It was a great game. It didn't have a huge map like The Crew but the driving was fun and isn't that the whole point of a driving game? If the driving sucks in a RACING game, That automatically makes it sh*t.

MC:LA's physics were so tedious. It was such a pain in the ass to keep your car on the road. At least in The Crew, I could have easily done that. The graphics weren't that good, either. They were just entry level. Micro transactions shouldn't bother you. Ignore them. Don't think about them. If you're a great driver, you wouldn't have to worry about losing to some guy who spent real money on that new car.

Don't shake left stick all the time and you may drive well. MCLA has very good driving physics.

I don't know about that, the only way I could play it was in first person, it feels ridiculous in third person.

It was alittle tedious and ridiculous but one thing you have to say about MCLA is that the customization was the best of any ps3 racing game....

The customization is pretty sweet. I like how Rockstar tried to bring some of that Midnight Club pizzazz over to GTA V..

both of you are f*cking casuals :/

DBNS, you played an old beta in Sport mode. you're supposed to play in hardcore, and the handling has been changed since the beta you played. Rubberbanding and cliche story? The f*ck? A story in a racing game isn't supposed to be hollywood film production, it's a basic f*cking story to give some context to what you're doing. NFS has always had that, and it's always welcome. I don't want a 20 minute cutscene about some dude's life story, I want short 1-2 minute cutscenes spread out to give me some context to the races.

android, why the f*ck are you talking sh*t about MCLA. Handling is fine, you just suck.

MCLA is better than The Crew but that doesn't make The Crew bad.

I want a new Midnight Club in Tokyo. All the cars from MCLA, plus another 20-30 Japanese tuners like the 2000GTR, Supra, Celica XX, CR-X, Stagea etc. and maybe some euro hatcbacks like the Cliosport, Golf R32, Punto and so on, plus maybe 10-15 more super and muscle cars for a bit of variety. Let us rice them out and race them through Tokyo with a sh*tLOAD of traffic. Imagine the map, the city could be surrounded by mountains and stuff for some Togue, all connected by Shuto Expressway.

The whole "meeting to race" thing should be pushed further too. Five or six meet sports, where occasionally you get a phonecall, you arrive and there's hundreds of people there with a variety of events, like PS's race days.

No, but I don't complain about simplified handling, which is designed to be easy, being hard. I think you're just really bad at games.

He's got a point, MCLA feels like sh*t in third person. Driver SF still takes the cake as far as combining arcade and simulation goes.

For the next Midnight Club (If Rockstar wants to make one) it should be in Tokyo because that is were the name for the series originated. From the group that went to race at night on the Shuto Expressway trying their GT-R's, Supra's, and 911's to reach 300 km/h on the Wangan. I would love to cruise and race at C1 and New Belt Line at night while driving my souped up Supra beating all wannabe ricers and show-offs with their Bugatti's and Ferrari's.

Honestly, I liked Midnight Club 3 DUB Edition Remix better than MCLA. Just because you already have 3 cities with Tokyo and plus the amount of new cars included with the game. In MCLA, Some car manufacturers in MC3 where not in MCLA, which is a shame, but that does not make MCLA a bad game, but I liked MC3 better.

Isn't midnight club series dead?

Anyway MC:LA was my favorite. Completed it several times. The only thing I hated was A.I difficulty and handling.

Since The Crew was mentioned, how good is it?

The Crew is literally the worst racing game of the past six years.
