now go back to the top of the page and click something that says "a good modding site" now there try to find all of these cars.
Gta worldmods is a german site,Some of it is translated from german to english.but it has tons of greate mods for gta.So just download as much as you can for the cars. For easyer order create a folder on your desktop and call it "GTA mods",inside that folder make another folder called "car mods" and download all of your car .zips or .rars to that folder,Now if you want you can extract them and do a manual install. But lets use sami for now.So make sure you have downloaded and installed SAMI (san andreas mod installer) Now if you installed it correctly when you right-click on a .zip or a .rar file it will have the chocie "install with sami".So Install all of your car mods with sami.Just right click on the .zip or .rar file and select "install with sami.It should chose the mod's .zip folder,Confirm the values, and select the cars to replace.(use the car list to replace the correct cars in san andreas.)Then hit install and sami installs the .dff and the .txt to the img archive. If you mess-up on a car and your game crashes, you can uninstall the mod and retry. If the car mod comes with tune parts,First replace the paintjobs,(my example would be sultan 1,sultan 2,sultan 3) once that is installed and the car is installed thre should be a sami installation for the tune parts. You should click on the file that looks like a orange disk.It will install the parts needed.Well i guess we have that cleared now.

THE MAPS
Now here comes the hardest part of all modding.Maps.Now If you want SA to look like the real world maps and buildings are important. So lets install some new buildings.Click here for some buildings you can install. Now for this you must use IMG tool 2.0.If you havint downloaded it already go back to the top of this tutorial and click the IMG tool link. Now once you downloaded IMG tool goto the GTA mods folder you created and create a new folder called "buildings/maps"Now goto click the link where it says "click here" to download some buildings.Download all of your buildings to the "buildings/maps" folder you made.Once you downloaded 1 building goto the buildings/map folder where you downloaded it to (when downloading buildings on the download windows click "save as" and select the buildings/maps folder)Now use a ether Winzip or Winrar to extract the .zip or .rar folder to the same location.(extract the files to the buildings/maps location.) Now open up IMG tool 2.0 and on the file tab, click open, and goto your gta san andreas folder, click modles,And open up Gta3.img.It should come up with all the .dff and the .txt files in the game. Now goto the edit tab and click find. Then type in the name of your downloaded building files. If you typed it in correctly you should see the buildings .dff and .txt files, now on the dff file right click it and click "replace" and find your downloaded building mod and find the .dff file and replace it.Now do the same thing with the txd file. But its recomended you make a folder called "backups" in your GTA mods folder. And before you replace files right click on the files your about to replace and click "extract" and exctact the files to a backup folder so you can restore the back-ups by replacing the same files. After when your done replacing your files goto actions and click "rebuild archive".And it will commit the changes.(meaning it saves the changes made.) now if you want to install maps, click here to download some maps. Now insted of using IMG tool, download the maps to your buildings/maps folder that you created.Extract thoes files to the same location. And go inside the folder to find the map files.Copy thoes map files, goto your gta san andreas folder, find the maps, and paste the files there,if it askes you to replace the files click yes.But first copy the origanel map files and paste in the backup folder you made in your GTA mods folder. If it edits the Main.scm file you may need to make a new game.If it doesnt than you dont need a new game.If you need to make a few ajustments to the maps and buildings,go back to the top of the tutorial and download the link that says "map editor".And heres a good tutorial of how to use map editor. And that about covers for maps/buildings.Oh and you may also need to edit the gta.dat file.So it can load the maps files.(every add-on map has 2 img files. So it tells the game what images to load for the map.)

SOUNDS
Its time for real-world sounds. If you want real world sounds download SAAT GUI frontend 1.0 at the top of this tutorial. Then download that tool to the GTA mods folder you made. Then extract the .zip to the same location. After that do what the readme says to do,then if a directory error message comes up,select the folder where your gta san andreas installion is.After when you sucsefully it should open.It will have the radio tunes and other sound files.Lets start out simple.Go here to download some sound mods. But first goto your created GTA mods folder and create another new folder called "sounds".Save all of your sound downloads there.Once you downloaded your sound file and exracted to the same location goto SAAT gui and select the GENREL tab in SAAT.When it loades it should have all the banks of sounds in san andreas. So goto your downloaded sound mod folder and it should have a readme. Open it up and it should tell you what Bank to open up.Then open up the bank that the readme tells you to and click the folder on top of the SAAT window that has a clock wise arrow.(or just hover your cursor over the folders to for a few seconds and it tells you what the button does) exract all the sounds to your created backup folder so you can restore the back ups. Then click the replace button and find your downloaded sound mod folder (you should of exracted the .zip) in your "sounds" folder that you made.Replace the correct sounds as it tells you and once your done with that click the floppy disk button to export the your new sounds to the san andreas sound files. And that should do it for sounds. And thats all there is to it.Keep on moding san andreas to the real thing and you might have you self some game there.
================================================================================

TIPS

*if you want to edit some more in san andreas, download the san andreas ultimate editor tool, and then you can edit some more, but be carefull as you might to something wrong and mess up your game.
*Before you install any car mods always check the handling.cnfg in sami.If you see like -0.78 -0.78 the wheel size of the car would be huge.So be carefull with that.
*If you atuclly install all the car mods make sure you have a powerfull PC.here are the RAM charts.

200-250 ram :3 or 2 car mods
250-300 ram :6 or 7 car mods
300-350 ram :10 or 9 car mods
400 + : as much as car mods you want.Just be carefull.
*If you want new weapons in the game just goto your GTA mod folder that you made and create a new folder called "weapons" and go here for some weapon mods, download all weapon mods to your weapons folder,Open up IMG tool, find the weapon mods file names( if the mod files are colt45.dff and colt45.txt, it replaces the colt.45 in the game) once you found the .dff and the .txt files, extact to the backup folders, replace the files.(replace dff files with dff files and txd with txd,any incorrect files and your game may crash or the weapons will look weird.

i hope this tutorial helps all of you.Im looking forward to see pics or videos of your modded san andreas. If you made a video or pick of your real life san andreas post them here. icon14.gif

Um.. Sorry but I didn't get that bit at all..

Ram goes up in 8's/16's/32's etc. So to run San Andreas smoothly you would need at least 512MB of RAM, or 1024MB(1GB) Or anything above that. Theres no such thing as 300 and stuff like that, and even if there was, it wouldn't be able to handle a modded San Andreas.

I wouldn't call 400 MB of RAM a powerful machine either. lol.gif

I agree you cannot solely base modding on ram since processor speed and graphics card come into accountability as well. With this said instead of people complaining they should post their specifications and how many modifications they have installed before running into game problems.

Then you can make suggestions on how many modifications you can add in four categories for xp and four categories for dual core/vista computers:
- Minimum Hardware Requirements
- Recommended Hardware Requirements
- Ultimate Gaming Hardware Requirements

Here is my information to contribute:

SPECS
- Windows XP Home
- 2.80 Ghz Celeron
- 504MB Of Ram
- 1000MB Of Virtual Ram

- 256MB Nvidia BFG GeForce FX5500 OC Graphics Card

MODS ADDED
- 25 Cars Replaced Including All Their Carmods(garage body parts)
- 63 Regular Cars Replaced

I am working on creating a real world conversion as best I can for my game but I cant add a link here since it has some nfs cars. It goes something like this:

- 23 Tunable Stock Cars And Their Body Kits/Wheels/Spoilers
(tuning mod released, creating final version to include 26 tunable cars and add fixes)

- 63 Stock Cars
(Add-on for tuning mod in progress, more cars/bikes/trucks to add for final release)

- Create Other Car Add-On Not Yet Started
(To replace government cars, boats, and planes)

- Create Business Add-On Not Yet Started
(to replace stores, resturants, adviretisements, pop machines and more)

- Create Other Add-On Not Yet Started
(adds more features to game to make more realistic to much to mention)

CAR FEATURES I WILL BE DOING
- Fix Aftermarket Rim Sizes
- Fix Tire Elevation
- Fix Ride Heights
- Improve Stock Colors And Replace Almost All Colors
- - Add Real Car Names
- Add Real Wheel Names
- Change Body Part Names
- Change Wheel Classes In Garages
- Change Exhaust Flow Particaes
- Change Seating Handling
- Change Engine Sounds
- Change Handling Of Tuneable Cars
- Change Vehicle.txd

That all I can think of that I did already for the car mods since those are what I am working on now.

Hi string227.

I find a little misstake.
You post the Link from the Backup Page.
The reason are the last two weeks my sitehoster have 2 days many Problems and the right Site dont
want works. And at this time I activated my Backup Site. But the real Page works again.

Can you change your Link in your first post to this?
Correct Site

ok first if your wanting to make it more realistic do this the tanker is actually about a 1986 mack the, the linerunner is a 2001 freighliner, and roadtrain is around the 90's kenworth sleepers. the super gt isn't a mitsubishi 3000 gt its a mitsubishi gt the 3000 gt has a longer body then the regular gt. hopefully this will help you out some with it and goodluck on it

The most dependent part of a computer as far as gaming is involved, is your CPU/FSB/RAM clock speeds.
I'm running a custom board.
AMD Athlon II X2 Dual Core, @2.8Ghz each core
3 GB Ram, 1033 Mhz Clock
1066 Mhz FSB,
500GB Hard Drive SATAII (2GB/s transfer rate)
nVidia GeForce 6150LE (Onboard) with 512 MB Dedicated Video Memory
Windows 7 Ultimate AIO

I cannot run the game at full speed with a gfx setting higher than medium.
This is because nVidia nForce chipsets with nVidia integrated video does NOT like shadows.

I'm Not much of a modder, i usually end up frying my install of a game. BUT, if and when you get this released, I'd LOVE to use it. i can't find a mod that just replaces all the car names with proper ones (I.E. Dodge Viper instead of Banshee) if i can get only that, i'd be happy. but if you get your mod finished, i'd be your free tester wink.gif

Yeah, my laptop has 512MB of RAM (64MB nvidia graphics card, AMD Athlon 64 2Ghz) and it struggles to run San Andreas on the lowest graphical settings most of the time. Yes, I have quite a lot of vehicle mods installed, but before it was nearly just as slow.
