There's nothing like the feeling of playing such an awesome game that you're not even supposed play...

In fact, once I turn 18, playing this game may not be as exciting or "off-the-edge" as it was before sarcasm.gif

I'm 16 now but first played on it when I was 10 or so, and got a PS2 with Vice City when I was 12, got GTA III later.

Many parents, including my own, know their child won't be influenced by violent games. If anything it'd make me more squeamish to see real violence, 'cos in a game you know it isn't real so it doesn't affect you, but when you see it in real life it's like, "What the f*ck!?".

Also, I've bought games and DVDs that are not supposed to be sold to me from Amazon and Play.com so it's actually easier to buy GTA if you're under-age online than it is from a shop. I think online retailers should be made to enforce the law, even though it would make it harder for me to buy GTA.

I'm 17 but have played GTA since the first ever one.

I disagree on ratings as you have to be either really dumb or have mental problems to copy something stupid out of a game.

I'm 22, and i was young when the first gta comes out, so even if now it's 10000 times more violent and realistic looking, i can't say anything about the young kid here who planned to buy and hit the game. Everyone will have fun.

I just buy it myself. Plus I'll be four days off eighteen when this game's released anyway so I don't see the harm.

Well to buy online you need a credit card, meaning you have an adults consent. They can't stop you then, unless the game is AO but M$ and Sony wont support it then.

Ofcourse you could have a pre-paid visa.

Or you can use a debit card like me.... I got one when I was fifteen and could buy whatever I wanted. Usually my parents signed for it because I was at school/college.

Isn't a debit card pretty much the same as a pre-paid Visa?

Anyway, I could by fags and drink if I wanted (not that I would) but I couldn't buy American Gangster on my own (had to get a friend to buy it). What is wrong with the world mercie_blink.gif

Umm i'm not sure if it's like a pre-paid visa but the debit card takes money directly from your bank account and you can buy anything online if you are under age. I wasn't talking about using it in shops as you have to show proof of age etc. so thats why I pre-ordered gta online

Oh. A pre-paid visa is like buying credit for your phone, you don't need an account, just money.

I am 20 now and was I think 11 when the original gta for psn came out. My parents didn't care that I played an M rated game in middle school however an M rated playstation game is far different from an M rated current generation game. If i had children that were at least 13 I wouldnt mind if they were playing a game like gta4. If i wasn't going to let them play it they would just play it at a friends house. Also, I don't believe that just because a pre-teen/teenager plays a violent video game or watches a rated r movie, its going to effect their behavior at all realistically. It may desensitize them a little but im sure that would be already taken care of by the internet and the world we live in today.
