In Grand Theft Auto your display screen was only Subtitle and the cops in the top. Now Grand theft Auto III Triligy has a little picture with the weapon your using. A health bar and a armors. San andreas had a swiming bar. In the left of the bars there the amount of money you have. And in the buttom there the police stars. In the buttom left corner of the screen there the map. Well i think ya all know that. But how will it be know. Will it be the same?
Please POST your idea or do you think it will be the same.
Heres my Idea.
I think it should be like Grand Theft Auto. Nothing in the screen. Yes you could go to options and put if you want to see the map. But only that and the money. It should be like if you have you life full. Your life bar will be in the top middle of the screen. It will go back up and fade away. If they hit you it will come back up. It they dont hit u within 5 secound it will fade away again. Cops system should work with no stars. Nothing at all. It should be if you kill the police the comes the police with alot of back up. If you pass that it will come with the FBI. And so on. If should not have a limit. more you kill more harder it gets until you die. So for you to see the map you press start. Why will you need in if when you play the game in like one week youll get use to it. Money the same thing. Press start. You dont need to be looking at your money every 2 secounds. The only thing you need to see in your life. So when they dont hit you the screen will be completly empty and youll have a good view. And it will look like a movie and more real. Like Def Jam Icon. So please post your ideas here. Thank you.

I would want the mini map, the heath, armor, swimming etc and the stars system. But you are right, the money we don't need to see.

But this will probably be a feature that you can turn on and off, just like the map, and blimps in SA.

I don't see any problem with the current HUD's. confused.gif

Money, health, armor, etc. are vital and should always be displayed to make gaming more simple.

If the HUD is changed, R* could go overboard and make it like the Getaway cry.gif

I'd like no health, armour or swimming displays. Just bullets remaining, and some sort of map.

Health could be like Rainbow Six, Ghost Recon - take a few shots then take cover, you'll be fine. Take a few shots, then a few more then your dead.

Or for those who like realism (Seems to be a mix of both on this forum), start limping, crouching over as you get more and more hurt - then get yourself to a hospital to get fixed up - not a big health pack in the middle of the street.

I think there will not be any in game map. you will able to see the map in subway stations, bus stops or tourist guides (map of the city and a dot saying you're here). But pretty much you will have to learn and know the map and street names by yourself... no problem for die hard fans of the series, because I know the old liberty city, vice city and san andreas perfectly like my own neighborhood. icon14.gif

If the HUD is the same as it has been previously then I will be happy, but I am definately turning off the map so I can learn the city from it's landmarks. smile.gif

I'd like to keep them the way they are, with the option to switch them off.

I hope that they stick to the health/armor bars instead of going back to the number system used in Vice City and GTA III.

I'm hoping for that fading out-thing, too. They'd only be visible when you lose health/armor/bullets/oxygen and if nothing happens in a while the bars would just fade out. Or if you wanted to view them yourself you'd just press L1 to view your healt and such, like you did with the stats in GTA:SA. And if you wanted to see the map you'd press a button (L1 maybe?) to view it. Then it would fade out after some time, unless you have chosen the map to be visible all the time.

Ive been playing a bit of Call Of Duty 2 lately and am used to the "You're hurt get cover!"

But a simple hud with the Health Armour and Weapons willbe fine. Oh and a mini-map.

Keep the mini-map size the same, also it`s location ( left ) and make all the rest bars & numbers
( health/swimming/money/health/ammo/armor ) ... Make them 2x smaller ...

Turn On/Off Option for these is a must smile.gif

I would like them to stick to the default they had in SA but with the option of
removing whatever you want from the screen to please those who wish to do so but personally I'm not one of them.

why do you even care about the subtitle font?
