I just hope rahkstar2.gif don't add realism to the game at the expense of fun. The game becomes tedious with the eating and the girlfriends and the working out.

The game needs to be realistic but not too realistic. It needs plenty of fun with the ability to do cool things that you wouldn't normally be able to do in real life. I like it when I can do stuff where I say "i've always wanted to do that", or "god that was cool!". As a gamer I want to escape the humdrum of ordinary life and that means not doing boring sh*te that people could argue make the game more realistic.

I voted for no more RC's. They are just way too hard.

RC missions were seen in GTA Vice City and GTA San Andreas and they were REALLY FREAKING HARD! I wished there will never be any RC missions ever.

Eating has to go, was the lamest feature ever.

I don't really have a problem with any of the poll options, the girlfriends weren't particularly fun but it's not like you couldn't ignore them.

RC missions rocked, I can't see why nobody else thinks so. (Except the RC-car races, those were hard, but the plane/helicopter ones and the blow up people with RC cars should definitely stay)

What are you talking about? I hate RC missions and in GTA Vice City the mission where you need to blow up that building, I had a HARD I said HARD time with it.

Those RC mission's are one hell of a pain in the arse, i hope the RC vehicles have better controls if they make it into GTA 4. That's why i Liberty City Stories made me so frustrated whilst doing the RC missions.

RC Missions are my main gripe, I don't know anyone who likes them.

I always liked RC missions. Especially flying ones, but that probably surprises no one. I also did not find any of them particularly difficult. There were some challenging ones, but nothing that I wouldn't be able to get done in 3-4 attempts at the most.

Eating is by far the most unnecessary feature. It's not a bad way to regain health sometimes, but losing health if you don't eat often enough is ridiculous.

Eh, wait, those aren't really features.

Girlfriends is a feature. And I hate them.

Agreed. I hated that in san andreas because your just minding your own biznazz and all of a sudden you get a call from that annoying Denise.

that's why i killed denise with a chainsaw.

girlfriends would be ok if you don't have to go on annoying & repetative dates but do missions with or for them like kicking her ex-boyfriends arse

p.s. I just blew her f*****g head off

RC rules, ok? So people that don't like RC missions, then play GTA 1 & 2!

Ha,HA!

The RC's could be implemented as a valuable feature and I'd much rather keep them. Imagine bombing a gang with a RC plane from 5 blocks away, doesn't seem so stupid now huh? Perhaps rather than just get rid of them, people could just take 2 minutes to learn how to DRIVE THE FRIGGIN THINGS. It ticks me off how people want every game made to be dumbed down to where a blind 4 year-old wearing pot-holders could breeze through it in one sitting.

LEARN TO PLAY DAMMIT. There's no reason games should take less effort to go along with than a Dora the Explorer cartoon, unless they are in fact made for blind 4 year-olds wearing pot-holders. The point of difficulty in a game is to make the endeavor to complete it that much more fulfilling. Now, if you can't beat a game without trying hard, what do you do? Do you throw the system down the stairs like an infant while screaming "the game's cheating again!" or do you try again?

Remember all, not everybody will get a perfect score, the fastest time, or the most points, nor should everybody. I do think the gang attacks were silly as reetitive as they were, and the eating is just pointless.

Like rmmstnr said, the RC missions were cool in principle. Maybe R* should pay more attention to the RC vehicles handling to make it:a) more fun and b) more similar to driving a real RC vehicle than some bumbling game idiocy. For example in the RC plane mission in San An, the plane's handling was hopeless. I've never seen a real RC plane that had that tendency to roll on its nose. I dare to say its aerodynamic properties are worse than a chicken's. The fact that many people preferred to plop it on the ground and only fly it when no other option existed is a mark against Rockstar.

The helicopter RC mission in Vice, on the other hand, was difficult but fun. The helicopter's controls weren't easy but neither were they unnatural. And the plane bombing mission in Vice (too) was pure class.

RC missons ar okay but some of the missions like the one in san fierro, really sucked. I think i had to try it at least 10-15 times before i passed. The inside rc misson where you play against berkley was kind of cool though. But if they keep the RC missons I'd like it to be side missons, so that we don't get stuck in the story missons.

Girlfriends are ok. Whats the problem in hanging up when they call you. There should be funnier ways of killing them though. I tried to drop a car at one of them using the crane in SF but it didn't work.

I wouldn't mind RC missions so long as you don't have to do them to get 100%. The worst for me was the RC Checkpoint race on the beach in Vice City, I never bothered to complete San Andreas to 100% because of all of this kind of garbage. Girlfriends *could* be a good feature with a lot of work and if it was your choice, y'know not being forced into it, especially if there are certain unlockable bars, clubs, restuarants which you'd be allowed access to like "World of Coq" in SA etc if only temporarily. Burgulary was okay, would be better with more random interiors.

I don't think eating was done right and it probably won't return. Saints Row had a good solution though by buying food you could hold it in your inventory and eat it whenever you needed to re-gain health which is stupid anyway but hey it could be adapted to not suck so much. Rockstar puts this kind of stuff in other games too... I hated in Bully having to go to sleep every night or colapse which is worse than San Andreas because you physically have to go back home and wait for jimmy to sleep if only breifly untill morning every 10-20 mins... arh.

Timed missions I think would have to be included just different. Racing meh. What I think most people are basically saying we only do boring pointless stuff like RC, pizzaboy 'WTF- missions' to beat the game (100%). Rockstar put this stuff in only to make beating their games more of a challange; in other words they're blatently purposely annoying. Like on for example Vigilante missions you get to like level 11 or so on the console games and then you mess up and have to go do all 11 again untill you make it to 12. Thats Final Fantasy X annoying.

Taking girlfriends out in san andreas was boring and repetitive and i hope it isnt added to gta4. Racing, RC challenges, etc are all fun and i would like to see more of them in gta4. I hope they remove the eating feature. biggrin.gif

Girly friends were stupid because you could only get attracted to the girls Rockstar wanted to get you attracted to. There was no element of reality in it. True, courting the casino girl to get the pass key made sense but none of the others did unless the player really wanted to date them (highly unlikely). If girlfriends are put into GTAIV I hope to get they're either:
a) extremely limited, maybe just one mission
or
b) extremely improved, with you having the option to choose who to date and how to date

Eating introduced a novel idea to health in San Andreas. I liked the way instead of running around using for health boosts you could enter a fast-food joint and eat something. I think that's the way it should be put in IV, including more hot-dog stands. The whole "healthy eating" aspect was pathetic.

I agree. However, eating for health was first introduced in Vice City, San Andreas just made it more widespread (which was good) and required the player to eat and eat healthily unless they wanted CJ to get fat (which sucked). I'm also with you on the girlfriends.

Most of them I didn't like. The RC car/helicopter missions were annoying... but I did like the ones in GTA:III where you blow up as many gang cars as possible within a given time limit. I don't like the timed races either since I'm not much of a racer... unless I'm fleeing from a cop.

I'm glad they took out eating/working out (I think that's confirmed since they said they couldn't get Niko to look good with different body types) so you don't ALWAYS have to eat/workout. I'll be interested though if you can still work out to improve stamina or eat to get healthy. Maybe now you'll have to buy first aid products or visit the hospital to get healthy again? That'd be sorta cool, but might interfere with your escape if you're running from the police.
