100% Completion

I know there's been topics on this subject before but it's inpossible to find one. Lock it if you need to.

Charachter Customisation

For 100% completion I am hoping for big rewards. There has been alot of chat regarding charachter customisation. I would not like this if it ruins the storyline. (You can change him so much he doesn't look like Niko anymore). What I would llike would be charachter customisation after 100% completion.

Therefore when I've finished the game and I want to role play as different types of people (ie. creepy nightstalker, hitman, respectable psycho citizen, army dude)
I can lurk around Liberty as whomever I want. Why? Well I liked Tommy Vercetti and I think i'll like Niko. I didn't like CJ but I could customise him to
somebody I preferred.

The reason I want it inlocked after 100% is because I want to play the charachter Rockstar intended me to play right to the end. When I'm a little bored of playing this charachter after hours of effort gone into getting 100% I will be happy in the knowledge I'll be able to change him aroind after. I'm talking physical features as well as clothes.

Cars

I'd like to see a whole new set of cars to be unlocked after 100%. I'd love if you can unlock some classic cars or muscle cars. Also if Rockstar advance on car customisation I think you should see stuff from the start that you want but when you go to apply it, it will say unlocked after 100% completion. This will be very encouraging to those that don't normally seek 100% and to those who do.

Secret Places

There has been some times in games where you've thought you can go there, but, upon further inspection you realise you can't. Imagine places like these did unlock. For example. You are in a dark alleyway in Liberty. You see a shore with the lid half open. You decide to see if you can look down it. You do and you realise Rockstar have put a decent enough effort into the graphics down there. You can only see a bit down but you know it's solid. 100% completed and you notice it again. This time you can blast it way or it's open completely. What's down there? That's up to your imagination. That's one thing but there can be a few things around the place.

Weapons

New, never before seen weapons and accessories. Flash-Bang grenades, silencers for most of your weapons, scopes for all the weapons you couldn't normally get. Crossbows etc. You get my drift.

These things may take up alot of memory but I was thinking that you could get exclusive suff online. Somehow when you log on, their system can read that you go 100% or you get a unique code, and all this stuff or similar stuff is unlocked and available for you to download.

Anyone else think the 100% rewards are not that great? I like the satisfaction of getting 100% but I don't think that's enough. I played GTA for so long before I ever got 100% in any of the games and I always had this curiosity to as to what it's like. I was a bit of a let down. I've never met anyone in real life who got 100% and it would be a treat to show some of my mates GTAIV 100% unlockables.

-Will you be going fo 100%?

-What would you guys like after 100% Completion?

-What can Rockstar do to improve things in the future?

I think this is an awsome idea. It would be really cool if rockstar really included some kind of content that's only avaliable upon 100% completion. Like access to a secret part of the city, or mabey access to a hidden island or something.

Well every single GTA (on consoles) have made you do more and more stuff to reach 100% completition.
So if the pattern continues, we'll be expecting EVEN MORE thing to do than in San Andreas to reach 100%

The real question is, with the episodic content, what does 100% mean in GTAIV? For all we know, there might not even be a Percent Completed stat. In fact, the way they are talking in GI and OPM:UK, the game will probably take different paths depending on how you play it. Maybe after you beat the storyline, you are given an option to redo some of the missions that cause the branching. I know SanAn had some different things happen depending on if you fail a mission or not, and a lot of people (my self included) liked seeing both outcomes.

Hum, maybe you can't get the new episodes til you 100%... wink.gif

Thanks Firestyle and The Tank.

Jnzooger, I see your point. I't you do fail a mission and you have to do something else instead maybe that will make up for the percent? Would mind if downloadable content was after 100%. Lol. Don't think they'd do that though.

I loathe the whole concept of being forced to reach 100% to get some special goodies. Mind you, if that's the sort of thing you like then it's the sort of thing you like.

I like that with secret places maybe a old subway station or a sewer could be unlocked when you get 100%. Rated good.

Yeah, I love the subway idea. An abandoned route. Lots of rats and and the odd weirdo homeless guy that you only seem to meet after he creeps up behind you.

Bigger rewards for doing extra things would be great. Especially unlocking a new area.

In the past you basically get a tank, which is fun, but isn't really worth the effort.

I think that if you reach 100%, you should get a call from Roman, who says he has a surprise for you. You are then taken to a hangar which reads "Haha, fooled you, there's planes after all!" on the door. Then you can import any plane you wish from any GTA game. biggrin.gif

Oh yeah, and some... er... weapons or something... sleepy.gif

Thus why I never bothered completing the game 100%. GTA3 had something great with the 100 taxi fares where you could unlock the Borgnine Taxi.

My dream "100%" award would be a secret area like a room or a hidden piece of land that would be loaded with weapons, special cars, and customization features. Hell, maybe put it in an Xbox 360 achievement in there for good measure.

Or maybe he tells you that everything in his emails was actually true and you did all this for nothing. He just wanted to see if you would go through with it. tounge2.gif

I kinda like this idea...however, it appers from the trailer that there is already a perfectly good theater downtown. Maybe just an extra "movie" you could watch.

Since you are the first to creat teh 100% completion topic, do you intend to come back here when you do achieve 100% completion, and edit this post to actually walk through it? or will others have to creat another and get em locked because YOU WHERE THE FIRST! ?

True, nobody would force me to use it, except for the little man in my head called; Temptation. I suppose I'd have another save file for just f*cking about.

As a joke, I wouldn't mind unlocking a Warriors style street gang and costume. If not the Warriors costume as you can go to the same area as in the game like at the Wonderwheel etc.

Also unlocking a nice Penthouse or Mansion somewhere wouldn't be too bad either. Something that completes everything you need. Car storage and modification garage complete with heli pad and a helicopter that always spawns there. Police escape routes.

If there are no loading times between outside and inside, does this mean the cops could follow into your apartment or house? That would be cool. I'd love if the cops had enough A.I. to follow you up ladders and you could have a classic roofop chase.

@ Truxter: I'll definately try search for the topic out and post an update.

I wonder how long it's going to take on average to get 100%?

Great topic TPFS. Some good ideas as well. Just thought I would pop the question to everyone though, What will you have to do to achieve 100%? Most of you will probably just say the usual of unique stunts, spray tags/hidden packages, vigilant missions ect. But I think Rockstar should add some more challenges. Maybe something like having to find 100 rats instead of the packages or maybe a new vigilant mission like traveling passengers through helicopters or Limo or even fighting crime in a LCPD Helicopter. Anyways their just some ideas of mine, sorry if I went off-topic a bit but it is still regarding 100% so I guess it fits right in.

Thanks ya mum, and I love the idea of having to find 100 rats and possible killing them devil.gif . It makes people focus on the gritty side. Makes the city more living and yet your are still doing extra tasks for 100% completion.

I hope, whatever we have to do for 100% like catch or kill something will be desguised into the city life rather than Horseshoes or Oysters. They were fine for S.A. but now I've seen the graphics for IV and I don't want that surreal, cartoony, Marioland style bullsh*t.

That would make the 100% more palatable to people like me. The thing that pissed me off with the 100% tasks was that they were so artificial. Oysters? Horseshoes? WTF? I even found the Cony Trouble (or whatever its name was, the one when you had to pilot the Stallion around the cones without hitting any) side-mission annoying since it was clearly designed to hold you back. The hidden photos in SF were better, since they wear just a good way to enjoy the sights, and quite believable. Maybe this time they could do something similar, like "Take photos of 10 hobos" or "Steal 25 diamond rings". They wouldn't necessarily be fixed-location items, just ways to enjoy "big city life" more.

Yeah, maybe they could have 100% completion more personal to Niko. For example, there are 100 unique immigrants that you must find. Give them money or something to help them start their new life in Liberty.

Does anyone still want funny unrealistic games for 100% completion do we want to go serious?
