I would like to see Double Clef return in IV. It was fun to run people over to classical music for some reason, and with the proposed ipod/discman feature you could go on rampages to classical music. Or if they have helecopters, do a "Ride of the Valkaryes" (sp) raid on chinatown.

Who sung 'Ride of the Valkaryes'? Is it a song? Is it classical?

Sorry, but this made me laugh. Ride of the Valkyries is not a song. It's a tiny little bit from Die Valkure, an opera by Richard Wagner.

SO, you've proven he's right! More suggestions please!

Well, as rock music they should have System of a Down, Tool and Rammstein. They would be nice.

Then they should add somekind of "Radio EMO" that plays some sh*tty Green Day and such.

Then pop station and some of the popular artists of today.

Dee T, I got nearly all the staions, but i'm working on a name for the R&B station. And what's a radio station without some songs, ok. And I'm thinking about a foreign station.

They cant have a game set in the fictional NYC without Notorious B.I.G. and Nas.

I can guarantee that "NY State of Mind" and possible more off of Illmatic will be on there. Or the new CD, "Hip-hop is dead". NY state of mind is THE east coast, NY gangsta track. None finer.

I'm an addict for sneakers, 20's of buddah and bitches with beepers.

Nothing's equivalent to the New York state of mind.

As for Biggie/Jay Z, I would predict "Brooklyn's Finest" or anything of "Ready to Die."

If theres a classic Hip-Hop station, ala Playback, they should have "The Message" by Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five.

This is not NYC, this is Liberty. But I did put your songs down. I also put down Zaibatsu Z, a J-pop (Japanese) station, in case the Zaibatsu make an apperance in GTA4. Note that this is not the foreign music station.

As for every radio station... Add new young talent for all genres because they are really cheap and it would help the bands/ group in real life as well. Several bands in real life have had their careers made through videogames and I think GTA IV should be no different. I'm not saying peoples ideas are stupid.. I'm saying it would cost a lot of money to buy rights to some of the new stuff. No Fall Out Boy.. Please. Unless you can kill everyone one in the band. Make an emo station...but have it really exist in the game so we can blow it up. j/k.

I'm done...ranting for now.

What do you mean no Falout Boy? It's an arms race. I'm there are people who you think look like member of FOB, so you can shoot them, just like some guy on GAmeMaster (RIP) shot a ped on Virtua Cop 2 because he looked like Peter Andre. Never heard of his music, niice! So you give me some young talent. Not from you directly.

I know its Liberty City, hence the fictional part.

And you didnt add NY State of Mind. If anyone's heard it they know it'lll be in IV.

But I did put Game Radio down. Listen to it next time.

And I know what you mean about the NY State of Mind song, in the same way the song in SA had compton in it. Dunno which ong, but the one at the lowrider contests at Unity.

Rather than start a new topic just for one line, I thought I may as well use an existing radio station topic. In the new UK PLAY magazine, it is said that Rockstar North is currently working to implement something new based on the radio system.

In my opinion the most logical thing this could mean is updating the radio stations with the game updates. It's set in current day, so who's to say that not only new dialogue could be put in, but new songs as well. Just think, 6 months after the game is released you could be playing on it listening to songs which hadn't even been wrote at the time of release. Pretty cool dont ya think...

While I'm bumping this, I've put a user track player on the list. It's because I'm sure PS3 & X360 will have them. More songs or stations, anyone?

EDIT: I've been put in the GTAIV forum dictionary.

I don't wanna sound like im bitching, but i think the radio stations need more songs, or more radio stations in general. I got really fed up hearing the same songs over and over again, even in SA like. So long as it doesn't take up TOO much disk space i think they should have more varied radio stations. Ill be happy with whatever Rockstar give us though. Because its LC i think they should have a lot of New York Artists or bands. First it goes without saying there will be atleast one east coast rap station (Nas, Immortal Technique, Wu-Tang etc). Then I predict an indie station with bands such as The Strokes, Interpol, Yeah Yeah Yeahs. Maybe some Atmospheric Modern Scene Setting Scores from Philip Glass in a "Double Clef fm" kinda style station would be cool and a huge possibility. I have faith rockstar will bring us a brilliant variety as always. I'm just looking forward to seeing how they do it differently this time, as everything else seems to be shaping up in a similar matter. biggrin.gif

Who in hell says the F. O. B. is rock? Here's a song by them-

"This ain't a rock band, it's just a bunch of sh*t..."LMAO!

I dont think real artists work in GTA, I found it odd listening to "Hollywood" by Kool & The Gang while im passing the "Vinewood" sign ?!?! dontgetit.gif , so they should make their own music to fit the mood of the game.

I'm not a big fan so, don't mean to make any fan angry. Anyway, I want the ol' hard-rock-from-the-80's kinda music.

Anthrax, Iron Maiden, Ozzy, etc. *sigh*

Rado X was cool too. I want a station that combines 80's hard rock, and maybe some 70's rock also, with alternative rock!

Vintage FM sounds great to me.

Just Imagine...

Duane Eddy
The Ventures
The Chantays
Dick Dale
The Sonics

Or maybe some modern bands that play vintage music

Los Straitjackets
Lost Acapulco
The Bomboras
The Phantom Surfers...

An added idea, CDs. You could get CDs from music stores and listen to more songs in the game. I'm sure there's a record store in there. turn.gif A good station to return would be Esperento, except now with more recent music like that Mexican Rap and some other Salsa songs.
