Skodas are just Volkswagens for mean people.

Apart from the front and the back, the rest of it screams Suzuki Swift.

I considered buying a brand new old shape Fabia VRS. VERY well built and lovely to sit in, plenty of room all round with room for two dogs in the boot.

For 12k I could have had the top spec model brand new. I ended up paying 10k for my 2003 Civic Type-R instead, just because the Civic was way more fun, just as good build quality but my god does it shift! The Fabia was more of a womans car as it'll do 40-50mpg, carry a load of shopping and is pretty fast.

Still, 1k for a fast VW brand new? No brainer if you don't want balls out lunacy.

I found the old Fabia to look, well... dated to say the least

This new ones following a trend they put out with the roomster, as I'm guessing they'll probably market this as such: a mini roomster.

But I thought the old one was very weirdly proportioned.

But to be honest, if I was buying a skoda, I'd get an octavia, just because the styling is the best out of all the Skoda's.

Oh and you haven't had a real chuckle till you've seen a Fabia Saloon.

There's one round the corner from where I live, registered in Poland, then just down the street theres another one from Lithuania.

They seem to like their tiny saloons confused.gif

The old Skoda Fabia just looks sh*t in my opinion, no style or shape to it. I do rather the new shape one, just seems more appealing to me. My next door neighbour just bought a Scoda Octavia, it's an 04 plate with a 1.9 turbo diesel engine, it's a nice car with plenty of space.

Pics from Japanese Tuning Show at Silverstone

Not my pics as I was out getting airtime in the Type-R with many other Type-Rs in the Peak District.

Just thought I'd share.

Those Multipla's, they are really ugly. However, they do look better in white, especially with the pimp rims.

The old Multipla was hideous, i even pissed on one while drunk... or it might have been a Citroen Picasso, i WAS drunk...

However they have made a new one, which is merely... ordinary

BUT they do have bench seats, well not actual 50's-style bench seats because thats not PC, but at least they are trying. If they just had a huge bonnet, a big boot with fins, two-tone paint and a wrap-around screen they'd be in great shape

The Triumph Rocket /// (that's how they write it, seriously) looks awesome, but to hear it is something else... i wonder what one of those engines would be like in a classic Mini?

Go ahead and shoot me (i was near the firing squad already from my comments in another thread), but i actually like the Multipla. It's at least something different, and they tried designing it, not taking the easy way and cutting a box into a shape of a box.

I like that white multipla... its inspired me to try and make it even cooler.

Anyway, BMW 1 Series Saloon

Reminds me of an Vauxhall/Opel Nova saloon. GAY.

It's not that bad, small and pretty sleek looking in my opinion.

I'm not a new age BMW fan. I'm in the league of oldschool = cool at the moment. Part of me wishes I bought an older more interesting car with character (and saved a packet!).

On the note of old and character: BACK TO THE DRAWING BOARD!

I think it's actually a case of Japan+Anything= either awesome or so freaking weird it makes your head implode. turn.gif

Oh and that new 1 series coupe looks pretty decent, although 1998-2002 BMW's are the best design wise IMO.

That 1 series is f*ck ugly. I agree that the 98/03 models weren't bad for design, but the latest look like the 98/03 models except warmed up and delicately styled with a breadknife.

All in all, you can't beat a good old E28.

Oh and Multiplas rule. Recognise.

Not too big on the 1 series either. Looks whimpy, and the long bold side line is way too harsh. icon13.gif

I agree. I think the 1-series is ok, but the other models in the BMW range are making me throw up.

But, still the good ol' E30 and all it's brothers and the 98-03 models are the best from BMW up to date.

Well you see, the 1 series isn't supposed to make people think "HURRR BMW POWAH RARGH". The 1 stands for something, basically if you buy one, it means you're broke and can't afford a decent 3-5 series, but still want to be part of the BMW crowd.

And in my awesome opinion, these are the sexiest BMW's evar.

I hate the 1 series. It just gives me a sense that it was made to fill a void in the marketplace... It wouldn't be bad if the 1 series was actually good, but its way too ugly, it's way too expensive, the cheaper versions are too sluggish, the boot is rubbish and the rear seats are completely hopeless.

Every BMW 1 series deserves to be shunted off a cliff, with the owner inside.

I'd rather have a lobotomy than a 1 series. Well.. then I guess I could be made to like the 1 series. Hmmm..

E24 6 series ftw!

I thought I'd point out that the rear on it is masked, but the load width is rediculously tiny.

Looks okay.

I'm 6'1", and theres no way in hell I can fit in the backseats. I have however been locked in the boot, and it's comfier than the backseats. Also, has anyone been in the M coupe, I sat in the drivers seat, and found I had trouble seeing the front of the car over the ridiculous hump in the middle of the bonnet, however, after been driven in one, that's got to be worthy of a notable Bimmer mention.

As for the best looking, the M1 and current M6 take my vote, my uncles neighbour has the M6 in a champagne cream colour, and it's breathtaking.

Grabbed my Dad's new A6 Avant earlier while he was out, wanted to check out the quattro's traction control. Managed to get it up to 9/10mph in a hard circle on gravel. mercie_blink.gif Insane grip.. pretty dizzy afterwards. Did the same in the Cortina afterwards as a comparison and nearly wrapped the boot around a tree. tounge.gif
