Any opinions on Wu Tang's new 'The Saga Continues' album?

Just started listening to it and so far 'Lesson Learn'd' with Inspectah Deck and Redman is a good opener.

I mean, one song in and I already know it's better than 'A Better Tomorrow' Haha.

That beat is strong.

Love that artwork as well.

EDIT: Apparently it's not an official follow up to 'A Better Tomorrow', because U-God isn't involved. Hence why they've chopped 'Clan' off their name in the artwork. I respect that loyalty they have to make sure everyone's present for the main albums. I would still go in 99.9999999..% treating it as a proper album though.  How much vocal time does U-God actually ever get anyways? Like 3 verses...?

A friend shared this music video with me. The song is catchy and the lyrics are quite hilarious. I don't think it's meant to be taken seriously but with humor. The formula works for me.

@Kippers: Didn't know there was new Wu. Yeah A Better Tomorrow was hit and miss. A really loved Rukus in B Minor, 40th Street Black and a few others but some tracks were just lacking. They seemed a little uninspired. I've only heard that one new track and the one below, I like it. It seems very East Coast and the artwork is a real throwback to 90's album artwork. Reminds me of the comic-book style of Liquid Swords artwork.

The 17-track compilation is a production project from Mathematics, a longtime Wu-Tang affiliate who was responsible for the iconic Wu-Tang symbol.

So we're hearing Mathematics production instead of RZA this time round?

Great verse from RZA on this.

Yeah, man. I don't know what the reason is for using Mathematics for the whole album.I know RZA fell out of some of the Wu at one point, but I thought that was resolved.

I think it works though. There's a lot of great production on there.

30th Anniversary Special

On November 6, 1987, N.W.A released an EP with 3 tracks which were Panic Zone, Dope Man and 8-Ball on Macola Records, which was later included on the compilation N.W.A. And The Posse. The group was still in its developing stages, and only credited on four of the eleven tracks, notably the uncharacteristic electro-hop record Panic Zone, 8-Ball, and Dope Man, which marked the first collaboration of The Arabian Prince, DJ Yella, Dr. Dre, and Ice Cube. Hispanic rapper Krazy Dee co-wrote Panic Zone, which was originally called Hispanic Zone, but the title was later changed when Dr. Dre advised Krazy-Dee that the word Hispanic would hinder sales. The compilation also included was Eazy-E's solo track Boyz-n-the Hood.

The original EP contains 5 tracks which are: Panic Zone / Dope Man (Radio Edit) / 8-Ball (Radio Edit) / Dope Man / 8-Ball.

I hadn't heard Panic Zone before now. I really like that electro-hop sound. I can't decide if that sound is a weirder idea now or back then when they did it. I always liked the 2 World Class Wreckin' Cru' album though which is the same style.

I wonder what's happened with the rest of the Posse and WCWC?
