Numbers don't matter (to most people) but those digits for 50 Cent's 'Animal Ambition' are in and it sold approx 47k according to Soundscan via HipHopDX. I know we don't usually talk numbers in here (dope music is dope music regardless) but that low number sticks out like a sore thumb for 50, who has spent a long time making fun of others for selling low.

I saw it coming. Like mentioned previously, there are perhaps 2-3 decent songs on the tracklist. I've heard he's playing the 'but it's an indy album' card, which is bullsh*t given the level of promotion he's invested into this.

The funny thing to 50 is he's made more on that album than most other hip-hop artists now he's left Aftermath and Interscope.

The album was originally meant to be a mixtape but he turned into an album to kick off his new record deal. I imagine a lot of money would of went into album promotion but the album wasn't exactly anticipated. 50 just dropped a studio album on us out of no where. His Street King Immortal album will perform better in sales now that G-Unit are back.

Totally. that's something I was thinking afterwards. It's all leading up to Street King Immortal. I had known about Animal Ambition for a fair while, but I guess the general public may have had no clue.

I'm back on the ol' back and forth, love/hate relationship with Snoop Dogg again. One minute he's featuring on some bullsh*t trash with PSY, the next he goes and performs Lodi Dodi with f*ckin' Doug E. Fresh at The Roots Picnic. I respect him for still showing love for his original material (particularly love for a song like this, that I wouldn't expect to hear him perform), but then it annoys me that he doesn't bring any of that flavour back to his newer music. He certainly hasn't lost sight of what made him famous, at least.

It's a horrible thing. I'm not even disappointed that I missed his concert. My art teacher used to live in the bronx and said he knew Fat Joe breifly because of the graffiti he used to do. Said he was a c*nt however :p

Im looking at 100s and Nipsey Hussle right now as my snoop dogg replacements.

I'm an Iranian, and so I listen Persian Rap, too. This genre, despite being an underground genre, has developed and improved a lot over years. I want you to discuss which song is better. If you wanted, I'll put the lyrics' translation too.

Zedbazi

Cigare Soorati

(means "Pink Cigarette")

A Love song. Group's members raped a fan after concert and she died. It's about that.

They say that it wasn't a rape and she overdosed.

021Record (Owj & Pishro) feat. Kaqaz Records (Sadegh & Ho3ein)

Kalameye Oboor

(means "Pass Word")

A gang-themed song. Pishro, Owj, Sadegh and Ho3ein are very popular in Iran, specially Ho3ein who sings the last verse. This song is most popular gang song in Iran.

Hichkas (a member of "Moltafet band")

Ye Rooze Khoob Miad

(means "A good day will come")

A song about death, what happens in future, about the day when world becomes like "Utopia"; has a political theme about Iran's 2009 events.

Paydar (Paya, Erfan and others) feat. Tik Taak Band and Sami Beigi

Musicamoon Tehrano Are

(means "Our songs do the Tehran")

Tehran is Iran's capital and this song is a gang song about how many fans they have in Tehran, stating that when they publish a song, Tehran explodes by fans' listening it.

It's also a diss to some bands like Jadugaran and TanBe10.

I really enjoyed Game FM on GTA 3.

So I saw all these articles and comments around the net debating about Joey BadA$$'s debut album 'B4DA$$". They said that if this album was to flop, would it be the end of Pro Era? Some people didn't really enjoy 'Summer Knights'. It took me a couple listens to really enjoy it. I'm pretty sure Joey will be releasing a single from his upcoming album soon, so I guess will have to wait and see if our expectations will be the same or not.

My friend tried looking for it on the Itunes Store but couldn't find anything. Maybe it has been delayed? Articles said it was meant to release May 13th or something like that.

^nice

Ab Soul is my favorite artist out there at the moment. From the mentioning of the pinial gland, 3rd eye sh*t and addressing Joey Bada$$ and just sheer amount of political ideas he has spinning, he really just suits me,

I'm anticipating the Rick Ross feature in particular.
