This is a small app designed to make adding Night Vertex Color information
to models easily.

user posted image

Itís part of G-DFF but since thatís still in development and this has been of some use the Myriad Island team I said I would release on its own until G-DFF is finished.

What it does is allows you to select a list of dff files and a list of exported NVC (Night Vertex Colors) data and merge the NVC into the dff in one go.

Max Script
I just added a download link for an max script I wrote based on Kams NVC export script. Its early but it allows exporting of multiple objects

Download: Here
Max Script: Here

Read the readme for info, usual prerequisites for G-Tools must be installed.
This is a beta so please backup all files before use.

Hey man, im very grateful to you, really. You tools always make everything easier.
But today, i had a problem with that new one. I have done many tryings, but no succes. My model is always transparent in game, and in map editor, the night looking is transparent in 50% of the model. I will show you the pictures if you want.
Could you tell us whats the problem?
I think the problem is in the max script, because i did the same but using RWanalyze, and the same thing happened. Please, help. Thank you happy.gif

EDIT:
I tryied it again with max 6 and 7, but no results confused.gif I had some error messages too:

Sorry, but i think after changing vertex color - number of Color-per-Vertex changes too.
Thats why colors may exports not correct if you use "for v in vertices".

the model for the day and night MUST MUST MUST be the same, you can MOVE vertices but cannot add or destroy. I dont think you can detach either. The NVC is just a blending of VP channels.

not entirely true, yes it must be if you intend to use NVC on a single model, but if you used "tobj" you can do pretty much anything you want to do with the day and night models wink.gif

Where to get ''Night Vertex color Files'', to make NVC into dff, app ask to add NVC Files, but where to get these files.

Night Vertex Colours are NVC (dff) sections exported from 3DS Max using the Night Vertex Colours script, and this tool gives you an easier way to add them to the dff you want the NVC's adding to.
