sadly i cannot place steam games on the windows 8 start area. so all i could do was pin origin games or games that do not use steam. then again that would probably be a bad idea because i have a few hundred games with steam xD

Im so sorry. Windows 8 is a pile of garbage. If you like it now, trust me, in time, you will reinstall a previous version of Windows. Too many programs dont even work, even in compatibility mode, and its so demanding on PC specs that its impossible to run on machines even from 2009 at good speed.

7 Pro x64 with BackTrack 5 R2 running in Oracle VirtualBox VM for penetration testing, network mapping, exploits and otherwise causing (legally permissible) trouble. Recently done a huge purge of desktop icons. Down-clocked CPU slightly for stability reasons- for some reason Hashcat doesn't like Phenom IIs at high VCore.
