Ditched the idea of getting a Tesoro Gram Spectrum and got a Redragon instead. For €50 it's crazy value. It feels every bit like a premium keyboard and it's made of aluminum.

(didn't bother to switch colors because I was still learning the function keys)

if you wanted to, could you only light up certain keys, and spell out the word F U C K on your keyboard? like a flat Lite-Brite

The only mode similar to that is the one that lights up the keys you press for a brief period of time. You can't actually program individual keys to light up, even with the software.

that would only work if they could ligh up in sequence. otherwise it would just look like this

but it would be cool if you get a message like "get off my keyboard" or something :p

I actually kinda like the green fluid. It's a nice change from the regular blue, and it gives it a sort of glacier/permafrost aesthetic. Get algae-green cables and run with it! :D

I think your liquid sort of conflicts with the blue in the cables. The rest of the colors are pretty neutral, and it looks good otherwise.

The UV green was just bcuz the pastel was out of stock and since i was going to tear it apart to add the GPU block after i didnt care mutch about the colour. The green dont look good with white imo, even clear fluid would look good.

GPU block, another RAD and a bigger reservoir tube are on the way :) maybe next i will try hard tubing

This is nuts. I'm not even sure how the math is supposed to work out. With that many pixels the pixel response time would have to be really quick for a frame to be completed in time. In other words, how could the input lag be anything but sh*t? Isn't that the bottleneck when it comes to reaching higher and higher resolutions?

ok, so i watercooled the gpu for my first time, but im a bit disapointed (with myself i guess) temps on idle Cpu= 25 Gpu=33 / load Cpu=52 Gpu=57, sometimes hitting 60.

is this normal temps for the gpu or did i messed up something?

loop is like this, being the gpu the last part on the loop :/ also fan speed is being controlled by the cpu temp, so unless the cpu start getting hot they wont speed up :/ should i change something?

Nah, seems alright to me! As long as you have proper, unrestricted flow, it shouldn't matter which order your components are in. My CPU idle temps are around 28-31C, and the GPU around 28C, but the CPU easily spikes up to 70C under heavy load, although I haven't seen my GPU get higher than 50C. All this is perfectly within a safe range though. I wouldn't worry. :)

Im not worried, but i expected better results. Right now on valley and heaven bench its hitting 48-51 and on Gta and other games hits 55, so yeah mutch better then air but not the 45° some people are claiming. When i was applying the thermal paste it seemed to liquid compared to the CPU thermal paste. In a month or so ill do the loop again but starting with the GPU first and take the time to apply some better paste and re setting the GPU block. Probably nothing but worth the shot.

edit: fixed: removed the 4 screws around the gpu chip and removed the plastic washers :p only played 30min of wildlands, but it never went above 47

It's nothing special. Pc isn't worth showing, since the window in the case is facing the wall. The image quality is kinda crap, my phone is hella old. I'm sorry i suppose.

Bought a new house. New house means new office, and new office means new setup. Partway through getting everything sorted and set up, chair is a work freebie.

IMG_20170625_221312.jpg

Still need better cable management, some decent speaker spikes, a monitor arm and ideally a bigger monitor.

i7 4790K with new cooler. Doesn't seem to go above 65 degrees at 100% utilization.
Spoiler

It was a pain in the ass to install and it's actually significantly louder than the stock cooler but that doesn't bother me too much. I chose a smaller one to make sure that it doesn't block my RAM slots but also made sure to get one that's better than the stock one.

you can just slow the fans down a bit if you want to, 65º is great

anyone know of a (white) case that is big enough to watercool and still have room left ? my H440 starts to feel like its all stacked up, even the Hdd is already in the bottom Psu shroud near all those cables :)

iam liking the style of the Lian Li 011, where everything else goes in the back and still have room for a top and bottom 360 rad+fans with 70mm

C7SiHRl.png

anyone knows of other cases like that?

Having helped a friend with an air cooled 240 build, I'd wholeheartedly recommend a Corsair Carbide 540 in white for a custom loop system

that is also on my list to consider, a couple of weeks ago with temperatures around 35º i noticed that the rad was pushing hot air against the reservoir on my h440, so if i can ill just try to move the reservoir away from the front rad.

also liked the Parvum M1 but its all acrylic  and im afraid to go that way, since it scratches easily

Can't go wrong with Lian Li. The build quality is top notch. I've been using their cases for about 10 years now and the only fault is the aluminum (aluminium for you Brits) will get fingerprints easily so I've dedicated a pair of gloves for working on Lian Li cases.

There's also CaseLabs if you're willing to go the boutique route. Although shipping to your country may be troublesome unless they have a closer vendor.

There's also LittleDevil (LDCooling) cases, which are also expensive. They're in Slovenia I believe. The cases are beautiful as well with powdercoated interiors.

^^ thanx didnt knew about the LDCooling, the reseller in my country is near my work office so ill check them out, they are a bit expensive thou almost double of what costs the Lian li or the Corsair

Caselabs i knew but never considered it even if there are some sellers out there in europe, shipping one would be expensive.

Up and running. Still need to sort a few things, tuck my extension lead behind the skirting boards, varnish my speaker stands and get some proper acoustic spikes.

8x376s.jpg

Treated myself to an offensively expensive laser cut Filco ash palmrest. It's extravagant, stupid and I love it.

Congrats on your new house and nice set up. What I may suggest as well that you turn lamp upwards  and bounce the light off the walls to give you a nicer, less harsh and diffused lighting. Some times the naked light of them can be distracting especially if you are trying to concentrate on a TV/monitor.

The lamp is an LED one, the picture makes the light from it look much harsher than it actually is. I don't tend to use of when I'm on the PC anyway, it's more for if I'm dismantling or soldering things.

Speaking of cases, does anyone else think that they are a waste of money? I mean why bother getting an expensive one especially when you're planning to place it on the floor\under your desk (unless you have tons of money just laying around). Plus there are plenty of nice ones in the $100 range or slightly higher.

i doubt that anyone that buys a corsair 900d ends up putting it on the floor. i dont place any of my pc's on the floor, not even the ones from my office, its a Pc, not a vacuum.

i ended up ordering the Lian Li in black (220$), and was thinking in moving to the new 7820X but with all the PCI lanes crap and the VRM burning hot, and being to late to go to the x99 i think ill stick with the z170/6600k for a few more months
