Holy f*cking sh*t. Groovy, see if you can score a copy of WHIPLASH 'Power & Pain/Ticket to Mayhem' - this album just redefined Thrash Metal for me.

If Laaz Rockit tried catchy Thrash, Whiplash took that idea, made it 10x faster, 20x more catchy, 30x more technical and added NWOBHM-laden solos and a dash of Hardcore Punk.

Sebby, Groovy, you will crap your pants. Get ahold of "Stage Dive" if possible, omg...

I'v heard good things about Whiplash. I'll keep that in mind next time I make a thrash purchase. Don'[t really know what I will be buying next. Sadus has been on my mind for awhile, as has been replacing my bured Dark Angel discography.

So I'm listening to Left Hand Path by Entombed right now(the song). And I absolutly love how out of nowere, they bust into the theme from the movie Phantasm. Love the theme to that movie.

Megadeth isn\'t that good...

Pick up some D.R.I. and Whiplash!

That is absolute poppycock. Megadeth are an awesome band, Mustaine practically invented speed metal and built the foundations for Metallica until they kick him.

Megadeth are possibly my favourite band along with Exodus and Gamma Ray and the amount of quality songs throughout out theyeas when compared to the like of Metallica is astounding.

Anyway enough of that, does anyone here listen to Turisas? I am heading up this saturady to see Ensiferum play, going ot be awesome.!

I don't really listen to a lot of metal.

Lately I'm really in to Unearth, Metallica's ...And Justice For All, E-Town Concrete, Cave-In, and a lot of obscure Hardcore bands. Recommend me something. New or old, whatev.

Sepultura - Beneath the Remains
Sepultura - Arise
Kreator - A Pleasure to Kill
Sodom - Agent Orange
Pestilence - Consuming Impulse
Death - Scream Bloody Gore
Death - Symbolic
Obituary - Slowly We Rot
Atheist - Piece of Time
Autopsy - Severed Survival

I just thought I'd pull out some random thrash and death titles out of my ass and recommend them to you. Fast, and heavy. They shouldn't disappoint.

Heard some songs, did absolutly nothing for me, but then again, it is Shadowns fall, so you shouldn't expect anything but sh*t.

Yeah my friends have tried to get me to listen to Shadows Fall lots of times saying that they are excellent and such but I just found to be a pretty average band and way to overrated.

This is the Metal topic.

I'm ended up not driving 5 hours to Cleveland to see 1349, Goatwhore, and Skeleton Witch, but I'm not too upset about it. I'm seeing f*cking Ronnie James Dio with Black Sabbath in May.

And Rwake and Minsk next week too!

Yeah, I fail to hear the metal, the watered-down generic At the Gates rip off part of their "music" doesn't constitute it to being called metal.

I've been listening to quite a bit of Nuclear Assault and Overkill lately, but I'm not usually one to listen to thrash. Any fans?

I'm going to Dragonforce in May! Woo. They're playing with Vanishing Point too. They're a pretty cool Aussie band. I suggest you check them out.

I like Overkill.. My favorite album;'s The Years of Decay....

So.. next week I'll be seeing Kittie.. I despise them but my freind's band is opening up for them and he really wants me to come and shoot for them, since it means alot. If this show goes well they might be booked for a 10-week tour this summer. I'm pretty psyched for him, since he's been putting 110% into his new band.

Gives me visuals of walking around a run down, deserted city.
