I'd rather see Killswitch Engage over Dragonforce in all honesty. I'm not a big fan of their music but at least they look like they could be entertaining live.

New Deth song, Sleepwalker
Live version of Washington Is Next
Gears of War

To me, United Abominations is shaping up to be pretty awesome.

Washington is Next is kickass. I love Gears of War too. UA might just turn out to be one of the best Megadeth albums.

It's all about that Mastodon. That's the only metal(if prog-metal counts) I can really listen to. Blood Mountain was like one of the best cds of 2006.

Searched around the Deth forums and found the lyrics to Sleepwalker. Real throwback to the KIMB/Peace Sells days.

Megadeth
Sleepwalker:

I should be calling collect from jail
for the things I commit each night in my head

Like last night in my sleep I got to snuff you?
then I woke up again, safe in my little bed

No one is safe
When I close my eyes
I come to take your life

I get to force your untimely disappearance
each night in my dreams when I'm fast asleep

I close my eyes and you just vanish
Soon as I lay down my head when I'm dead to the whole wide world

No one is safe
When I close my eyes
I come to take your life

And then I wake up
And it was all just a dream
And everything is the same

(Sleepwalker)
Did I give you concrete shoes
and throw your body off of a bridge
(sleepwalker)
When I lay down to sleep
Pray your soul's mine to keep
(Sleepwalker........)
I feel you near me

(Solo: Glen Drover)
(Sleepwalker)

Just taking a stroll
Don't go to sleep
Here's some toothpicks for your eyes

You always make an excellent cadaver
I roll up your body in a carpet to make music
In the trunk of my limousine, wrapped up in a rug
A fitting end is that I send you up the river like a punk

No one is safe
When I close my eyes
I come to take your life

The Angel of Death is pissed off at me again
Just because I got to put you out of my misery
It doesn't matter I am without fear
Now that you're dead I won't shed another bloody tear for you

No one is safe
When I close my eyes
I come to take your life

Calling you in a buckwheat
Then you'll sleep with the fishes
The answer to all of my wishes

(Sleepwalker)
Did I tell you I was in movies
then dump you garroted lying naked in a ditch
(sleepwalker)
Every day
Another way
(Sleepwalker........)
I know you can hear me

(solo: Dave Mustaine)
(solo: Glen Drover)

Maybe you'd look nice in a Columbian Neck-tie
Should stop your tongue from wagging the dog
Pull it through for a smile from ear to ear
No more stupidity, now there's nothing to hear

No one is safe
When I close my eyes
I come to take your life

And then I wake up again
And it was all just a dream
And everything is still the same

Did I give you concrete shoes
and throw your body off of a bridge
(sleepwalker)
Now I lay me down to sleep
I pray your soul's mine to keep
(Sleepwalker........)
I feel you near me

(Sleepwalker)
Or did I tell you I was in movies
then dump you garroted lying naked in a ditch
(sleepwalker)
Every day
Another way
(Sleepwalker........)
I know you can hear me

Did I buy you the farm
Or put a horse head in your bed
Now I lay me down to sleep
I pray your soul's mine to keep
Fear me

Every day
Every day another way

Now I lay me down to sleep
I pray your soul's mine to keep
I know you can hear me

I have Dopesmoker, but what is the difference between Jerusalem and Dopesmoker really? I know Dopesmoker is remixed and lenghtened, but is Jerusalem worth getting if I've got Dopesmoker already?

Actually, I have Dopesmoker, but Jerusalem was the shorter version like you said, and it was cut into six different tracks when it was released. I don't really know if it's worth getting; the band's broken up, so I don't know if they'd see any of the money from cd sales.

I do want to get a vinyl version of Dopesmoker though.

Speaking of funeral doom, can anyone recommend me a few bands in that area? Something along the lines of Ahab.

Karnal Film Productions has announced the release of what it claims to be "the world's first black metal porn movie." Entitled "Phallusifer The Immoral Code", the theme of the film is "something never done before: Hardcore porn with hints of S&M and Satanic imagery starring the Harlot Queen as herself and a frontman of a known black metal band whose identity will remain anonymous, and the soundtrack is mainly comprised of decadent black metal music," including KILL (Sweden), NECRODAEMON (Germany), THUS DEFILED (U.K.), ANIMA DAMNATA (Poland) and FILII NIGRANTIUM INFERNALIUM (Portugal), according to a press release. "Phallusifer The Immoral Code" contains over 65 minutes of film, including extra scenes and a trailer. The footage contains artistic editing and enhanced images with satanic symbolism, according to the director (who is the frontman/axeman of yet another black metal band and who wishes to remain anonymous for the time being).

lol.

Dragonforce is coming. I'm not that huge of a fan, but as it turns out, my friend loves them (?), so if he goes I wouldn't mind going. Anyone see them live?

Also appearing: Killswitch Engage, He Is Legend and Chimaira.

My friend went to that show. She went there for Killswitch Engage but said Dragonforce were awesome live but after watching this I have to say they look sh*t live. Definately a studio band. At least I've seen Killswitch Engage do a mean cover of 'Holy Diver'.

Still, Dio Sabbath is touring soon. I'd see that instead.

@Paco: Heard about that awhile back. Can't f*cking wait. I hope this means a tour too. I'd love to see the King live.
