Vinyl's f*cking expensive dude, especially when it's a first release. But thanks man, we all really appreciate it. We're going to be doing a split with another local doom band and that'll for sure be on vinyl.

Samothrace, Lesbian, and Yob tonight, man oh man, f*cking crushing. Yob's one of the best live bands I've ever seen, by far.

Okay since my topic got f*cking locked, I guess I'll post it here.

I threw together this short little metalcore/metal drum track for you all to use however you like. It's not very long, so it would probably be better as an intro or something. Anyway, use it however you want just make sure to give me credit and leave it as a video response.

My kit:
Steven Slate Kick 10
Joey Sturgis Snare 1
Joey Sturgis Detuned Toms
Truth Custom Emerald Series Cymbals

Holy f*ck. YOB is fantastic live, and Samothrace's last album is killer, you better enjoy that.

You bet your tits I did. Second time I've seen Yob. Mike remembered me from the last time, which blew my mind, was great getting to chat with him for a bit. Also second time seeing Samothrace, and they killed it. Lesbian I hadn't really listened to, and f*ck I wish I had been, they killed it, instant fan made out of me.

No worries, I was being sarcastic. Though, some wax would be f*cking killer.

Found out I'm going to be shooting some shows in Chicago next month. Hypocrisy, Dillinger Escape Plan, Rotten Sound with hometown hero's Enabler. Should be a good time. I haven't shot any really good metal shows in awhile.

Saw Coal Chamber for the first time over the weekend. Blast from the past. It was like 2002 all over again. They played surprisingly well and I totally dug it. Funny considering I haven't seriously listened to any of their material in almost ten years.

Clutch and motha-rippin' Orange Goblin this week. Stoked!

Solid choices. Moonsorrow is one of the only "folk" metal bands that I'll actively listen to - most other folk metal bands are just poor gimmicks, 4/4 oompa bands with traditional nordic instruments and sh*tty power metal keyboard. Tyr is great too, especially Ragnarok - I love the folktale narrative of their songs.

I've been jamming the new Uncle Acid since I nabbed it yesterday, it's super fantastic.

I've got a couple of the Moonsorrow albums. I adore the desolate, blackened atmospherics of them, they remind me a lot of early Ulver. Right up there with the best progressive black metal acts I've heard, alongside Enslaved, Nokturnal Mortum and the more industrial acts like The Axis of Perdition. I'm also really enjoying the Havoc Unit album at the moment- very different to the earlier stuff they did as ...And Oceans- kind of somewhere between Portal and Aborym in sound.

Got this last week. Hand delivered by a rotting, cloaked pontiff shrouded in smoke. I opened the gatefold and the cries of ten thousand devastated souls filled my living room. And then I rocked out. Good stuff, sir.

I'm there.

I used to be pretty big in to Moonsorrow and the whole pagen metal sub-genre a few years ago. It all more or less sounds the same to me these days, but I would still jock them pretty hard before any one else. I saw them open for Finntroll in 2010.

Thanks for the support man, for real. It's weird, almost half of the online sales we've had so far have been Europe. I guess we need to do a Euro tour.

Cannibal Corpse is coming to my country! I'm planning to go with my group of friends, but one of them is just 14 (his size is not an issue, though. 181cm and ~90 kg don't seem like a problem) and the rest of us is ~17. Is there an age limit in these concerts? This is my first one tounge.gif

Anyone know this band? Their vocalist is KoRn's former guitarist, Brian Welch.

Moon: Listened to one of your tracks a while back so bought your album. It's awesome to hear good music produced in this day and age.

Anyone into Solstice? I think this song is great, but I've not heard any others yet:

Easily one of the best songwriters in the genre. This definitely sucks.

I mentioned this in the other topic, but I'll say it again. I think it's time for Slayer to respectively hang up the coat. If this isn't an excuse, I don't know what is. To write a record without him would be a terrible idea. Kerry King is pretty much "eye candy" and Tom doesn't write anything. Plus with Lombardo out of the picture, the next record would fall flat.

Yes sucks much, with all members SLAYER still released solid albums but now without Lombardo and Jeff probably this sucks more... next album is more like Kerry King solo album icon13.gif icon13.gif .
