An original musical film, Across The Universe is a fictional love story set in the 1960s amid the turbulent years of anti-war protest, the struggle for free speech and civil rights, mind exploration and rock and roll. At once gritty, whimsical and highly theatrical, the story moves from high schools and universities in Massachusetts, Princeton and Ohio to the Lower East Side of Manhattan, the Detroit riots, the killing fields of Vietnam and the dockyards of Liverpool. A combination of live action and painted and three-dimensional animation, the film is paired with many Beatles songs that defined the time.

If the trailer is any indication of the final movie, this is a must see (for me at least).

That movie looks amazing. Unfortunately most of my mates only have the brain capacity to handle mindless action, sex and gore and can;t take in, what looks like here anyways, a movie with an actual storyline.

I'll probably end up seeing this one on my own confused.gif

From the story alone, I wouldn't see this movie.

But judging by the trailer, it looks like it has some really magnificent shots that will make this more than worth seeing. This is how CGI should be used.

yea llike the first few seconds of the trailer made it seem boring but when it hit the first minute it seems that this will be a very innovative and great film.

This movie looks great. 5 Salma Hayeks? How can you beat that? At first I felt weird about it because I never liked anybody's version of the beatles' songs but the beatles; but this seems to be class. Except for Bono being in it (ugh)

Yes. This movie looks damn fine.
