Hey guys.
How do you do paint-splash like effects using Photoshop?

That can be obtained by using simple splatter brushes. You can find a wide variety of brushes here.

Finally came up with some designs that I'm plentiful happy with for a project I've been working on. Took me literally four weeks to get the right mindset.

This looks a suitable place to ask this one.

I'll be using Pant Shop Pro X4, so if there is a process it would need to be translatable to PSP from Photoshop since most people seem to use PS.

I'm wanting to apply a Semi-Transparent image on top of an base image that has solid image with a transparent background, however the edges of this solid image are feathered slightly so it's not a clean crisp edge. I'm wanting to apply the semi-transparent image on top but for it to only apply to the solid image section of the base image and not the transparent background.

For example the following image would be the base

user posted image

And this would be the Semi-Transparent image on top

user posted image

However once the top Semi-Transparent image has been put on top it should only be on the base image and not 'bleed' on to the already transparent background of the base image... if that makes sense.

I haven't used PSP in nearly 10 years so I can't give you a step by step, but what I think you want to do would be best achieved with masking. If you create a mask from the base layer and apply that mask to the top layer, only the parts of the top layer that overlap the base layer will be visible, like so:

If I have time later I'll have a look at PSP to see how the process differs from PS.

I was messing around in photoshop yesterday and decided to do this

user posted image

The only problem I have with it is I suck using the erase to make the image look like its my actual eye and I could probably improve the blood textures which I made using the brush tool and set it as a gradient

And that is my face I used, sexy beauty mark right?

Should use a soft eraser with a low opacity to erase the edges to make it look like it's blending in with your eye. You could also lower the opacity of the layer itself for better blending.

Not happy with Franklin, something looks off. Was trying to get a decent pic of him looking forward with a weapon but I couldn't find any. If they release any images of it, I will change it.

Thank you smile.gif It means a lot coming from an artist like you.

Franklin does look a bit awkward, maybe it's the screenshot you used.

Heyoo, been a while.

Just did some IV photography with cars and stuff, later edited. Here's some of them cars:

Planning to do more, but I'm taking a break for now. I actually do this (IV Photography) from time to time, and they're all gathered here on my Tumblr. Be sure to check'em out if you can  :^:

Thanks man! Might make a few more, but I got a sh*t reaction to it when I posted it in the V forums (like literally no one responded to it) So I don't know whether to just stop making them.

Haha, just keep spamming them man. I'm sure some of them would notice.

And it's up to you if you wanna stop making them. Like I do my 'photography', I only do them when I'm in the mood,  :turn:

I've thought about it. I don't know what would happen with copyright and the likes of that. But I've no problem printing them for people and mailing it to them outside of dA. :)

I can't be bothererd to search through all the recent pages, has the bitching about the price structure (and everything else really) for Adobe's Creative Cloud started yet? If not consider this it.

Buddy of mine uses Creative Cloud, don't think he's ever complained about anything until he had some 'Share' option keep popping up on him with Share with Behance or something.

I currently stick to PS CS5 Ext still.. I dabble in CS6 for 3D related stuff.. nothing occasional.

Got bored today and figured I'd try my hand at some pixel art. It's my first time and I was going from scratch in MS paint, so go easy. :p Feedback would be appreciated.
