@goin-god, wow.. that's a beautifully modeled bolt-action there. For which game are you creating that for?

Goin-god: Is it for Red Orchestra 2? If so I'd download it in a heartbeat. Looks amazing man!

@goin god:
As i said on character PPC, good job, goin-god. And thanks for the compliment, i'm still trying to practice a lot more.
What kind of offer ? Is it something i can't refuse? biggrin.gif .
I'm kind of interested, i could use it as another practice for me.

Anyway, i'm crossposting my work, from this topic.

^ Nice. But isn't it too clean to be used in a war? Needs moar dirt and scratches, i think.

Anyway, just messing with my model to create an awesome wallpaper.

coin-god: Wow, looks beautiful. If that ever gets put up for download let me know because I'd love that in my Red Orchestra! Very smooth and the textures look superb! Well done!

69_black_69: Looks great man, love the idea.

Done with Photoshop, and now, i'm pretty much enjoyed drawing with my mouse. But it takes a lot of time of course.

@goin, f*cking superb job my man.. looks excellent and the textures and colors are excellent and I agree with Whiskey, very smooth. Good luck with future developments! I also would like to see a more worn bolt-action but either way, looks amazing!
@69.. nice mouse work man.. I used to do some mouse paintings myself.. just don't have the patience or mental focus anymore it seems like.
I tried a mouse painting the other day of a chef boyardee can.. came out alright.. but not what I want so I scrapped it. Keep up the good work.. nice to see someone
taking the time to do such art.

^ Thanks guys. It's actually easy once you know the trick, and keep practicing it. I'm usually doing this when i'm bored with 3d, and otherwise.
Even if its taking a lot of time, i won't regret it, because i learn so much stuff while i did it, and definitely improve my texturing skill now. colgate.gif

Anyway, another one.

btw, it's me.

And it is time to back at 3d!

Don't worry, the game takes care of the worn out look.

Ohhh, another nice one, 69.. could I ask for a request if you ever find the time, no rush. A mouse painting of Natalie Portman? inlove.gif Figured it would give you something to do in your down time. colgate.gif colgate.gif

Wow, Whiskey.. that looks dope. Like the work with the trees and mountains. Hmm.. what type of feel are you going for font wise? something sci-fi inspired? If so.. maybe Close Encounters font.. just throwing something out there that I think would fit if the font is played with abit. Idk.

I'd keep it simple, classy, and elegant - like many of your pieces consist of. They look magnificent that way. Like Futura (bold would suffice nicely) or even Helvetica.

First piece that I actually dedicated to a car, quite pleased with the result.
If it's not obvious, it was inspired by Whiskey's Nissan Skyline piece.

@XTREME, love it! smile.gif

If I were you, though, I'd desaturate it just a tad (like seriously, just a little. Unless you're comfortable with it, of course, haha) as it would allow for the vehicle to blend with the rest of the colors a bit better. I'd also add some grain, and maybe even a grunge overlay like this to give it a little "attitude". Other then that, amazing job!'

Haven't posted anything lately, so I might as well edit this with a fresh piece. Did this for a buddy of mine. Have no idea why he wanted something like it, but nonetheless. Only spent roughly thirty minutes on it and although I'm not that happy with it, what the hell? tounge.gif

Thank you for the light criticism Method, always gets me to think about what others see in the image as oppose to just what I see.

Changes

• Reduced saturation (smallest changes can make something look much better).
• Added a shadow on the left side of the image to further illustrate lighting effects.
• Brought the text down ever so slightly.
• Changed border colour to blue.

Why are You using blue background? It´s not even same blue as the board one because it´s visible.
Save as png without background and it will look better.
