4 English teams through. Platini must be pissed off.

No doubt he'll bring that 5+6 rule forward a couple of years.

UEFA did say that any bad sh*t from Roma fans will result in the final will be taken away from them, after today's incident they said that Roma have been knocked out and the final will be between 2 neutral teams. I don't know if they know this but in Rome there will be Roma fans no matter who is in the final.

The Arsenal game has gone to pens, can they make it 4/4? Both teams missed one each so far...

The Sky Sports team are funny.

Edit: So Arsenal win 7-6 on pens, that was a close one.

Indeed. So all the English teams are now through to the next round, let's see what happens next.

I am betting that Liverpool will win the whole, they have had excellent performance in Champions League since the last few years. Hope it continues for a long time!

Shame that they cannot perform like they did against Real against Wigan and Boro.
Meanwhile, Bristol City, with an excellent win against Coventry City, to just about keep their hopes of reaching the playoffs alive.

Looks like you've clinched it already, you can afford to lose to us, Arsenal and Villa and still be ahead of us and Chelsea by a point. Then i doubt Liverpool and Chelsea will win every game they have left sad.gif .

All your team needs to get bird flue for us to finish 1st now sadly.

Our season is not over even if the mancs do beat us as we have the Champions League to play for. At least we 'challenged' up until February/March instead of October.

Still, it'll be nice to get a win, sort of like 'revenge' for what happened at Anfield. It'll also gives us the extra confidence we need in order to finish off the season well.

Man Utd definitely deserve the title, as they have been consistent, when all other teams have failed to beat lower opposition, and they are just amazing at defending and grinding out results.

Your tips are poo, week in week out every game is low scoring tounge.gif .

Anybody see that England team special for comic relief?, thought that was pretty good.

Working tomorrow, so gonna miss the Liverpool-United game, gutted. Early kick off as well so if the result is not what i wanted that will put me in a pissed off mood for the rest of the day lol.

We deserve it if we win it. In almost all circumstances, whichever team wins it deserves it. If by some horrendous miracle we lose the title this season, we do not deserve to win it.

Haha James Cordon gave them boys the dressing down everyone's wanted to give them for years! Especially John Terry.

First week in ages I'm gonna catch a good United match. I'm work Sundays so tend to miss a lot of the weekend fixtures. I'm hoping United stamp their authority on the title with a good battering.

I know, but that's what my gut says. We'll just have to see what happens. And how can you call a 3-0 victory low scoring? tounge.gif

Is this some sort of reverse psychology for yourself? 'Cuz most people predict results depending on how they want them to be, unless you're a bookie. But since you predicted a Chelsea win, I'm not complaining. tounge.gif

Well it would kind of embarassing to say that Man United will beat Liverpool by 100 goals, we have to be realistic. moto_whistle.gif

My tips are made on the form of the teams, and on my gut feeling, that's all.

Man United 2-0 Liverpool
Arsenal 3-1 Blackburn
Bolton 0-0 Fulham
Everton 3-0 Stoke
Hull 1-1 Newcastle
Middlesbrough 0-1 Portsmouth
Sunderland 1-0 Wigan
Chelsea 3-1 Man City
Aston Villa 1-0 Tottenham
West Ham 1-2 West Brom

Man Utd will beat Liverpool by two goals in an end to end game, Liverpool are made to rue missed chances.

Arsenal put 3 past Blackburn, but Blackburn will score, through Roque Santa Cruz probably.

Bolton and Fulham will probably cancel eachother out, i cannot see a goal there.

Everton are due another big win, and Stoke are crap, so they will get battered.

Hull will take the lead, but Newcastle will equalise later on.

Portsmouth beat boro 1-0 away.

Sunderland beat Wigan 1-0 at home although it could have been more.

Chelsea triumph 3-1 over Man City, i cannot see Man City making a contest of it at all.

Aston Villa beat Spurs 1-0 at home.

I had to put in at least one upset, so i have put down WBA to win 2-1 at West Ham. It would probably never happen, but a man can dream.

So there is my prediction for the weekends fixtures.

Manchester United 1 - 4 Liverpool. Not a scoreline you will hear everyday! Two big mistakes by two of United's most prominent players (Evra and Vidic) cost the Title Holders today and Liverpool after that took their chances. Brilliant free-kick from Aurelio and nice little chip from Dossena. This is certainly Liverpool's week!

Still unlikely anyone other than Utd will win the title, but bloody hell, what a scoreline. Dossena's gone from a hate figure to goalscoring wonder in the space of two games, haha.

Yeah, Liverpool came and thrashed United. Deserved win, United were full of mistakes.
While this doesn't affect Man Utd in a huge way, its still a moral blow.

Not a bad win at all for Liverpool.

Will watch it later on MOTD. From the sounds of it tho, it was a proper drubbing?

4-1, bloody brilliant result. That referee was great, never made a single bad decision, so no mancs can complain about vidic's sending off, dirty bastard.

If we can keep this up for the rest of the season we are likely to win as utd. have some tough games coming up where, hopefully they will fail harder than they did today.

Don't I feel stupid.

Completely gutted. United defence were a disgrace and Ronaldo was ineffective. Hardly challenged Reina at all.

Still think United will win the league but Fergie is gonna have to give them one hell of a talking to. Props to Liverpool for making the most of a god awful United day.

United were only prominent during the start of the second half, but after Vidic got sent it was all Liverpool from there.

Great, great week for Liverpool. 4-0 at Real Madrid and 4-1 at Man U. Thats not common.

Hope it comes off true!

Lovely.

Dossena should be converted to left mid. He's just a liability at left back but going forward he's actually very decent, and that was quite simply an excellent finish.

I was watching the game in a bar full of Liverpool fans, just was texting my mate to say that it was 3-1, and then it was what sounded like a group orgasm, i looked up, and saw the ball just about to nestle in the corner, great finish, i texted my mate the score 7 times afterwards! devil.gif
