Predictions for the United game?

I'd say nil-nil. But I think Inter will go through.

First game is at the Giuseppe Meazza.. I'd say Inter will scrape this one 1-0. But should be a good game!

Last time Inter played an English side (Liverpool), flying in the league and unbeaten in months and months they got beat twice in two weeks. I can see United winning this one as well even if Mourinho is in charge.

Still be cheering on Inter though.

Said in paper he'll be out for 9 months so if they are telling the truth he'll miss the start of next season aswell. (But the papers always over estimate things)

Well that game was average at best. 0-0, Man Utd looked good but I was disappointed with the game overall.

Aye, Ronaldo near scored at the end with the last kick of the ball. All depends on who wins at Old Trafford and I bet Fergie will unleash some mind games before the 2nd leg. Come on Jose!

It's only because their own teams aren't up to anything worthwhile, so they have to focus on other exploits.

Fantastic free-kick from Juninho tonight, couldn't believe Lyon didn't manage another goal in the first half. Unlucky not to win.

Didn't see all of the United-Inter game, but the Mancs certainly looked to be on top for most of the encounter. Interesting 2nd leg to come.

Good game, disappointed we didn't win. 13 Games, 1 Victory for Ferguson now against Mourinho, I'm hopeful we can win at Old Trafford though. Certainly not over yet.

Definetly not over yet, but you have to favour Inter in the second leg. Ok they didnt play great tonight they were average but one good move at Old Trafford they score then United need two. Can see United perhaps scoring one but not two so if you concide i think your out.

I thought Carrick was a let down last night. Didnt play as well as he usually does anyway.
Tricky now for United. Could have defended a goals lead at OT. Now they have to attack.

Well Vidić will be back to bolster Manchester United's defense for the second leg, and with the home crowd behind us, I think we should be able to take the result. colgate.gif Well, I hope so anyway, don't know if that's necessarily going to happen.

So what are people's tips for tomorrow? Here are mine.

• Chelsea 1-0 Juventus
• Real Madrid 1-0 Juventus
• Sporting Lisbon 0-1 Bayern Munich
• Villareal 2-0 Panathinaikos

So...
Reports that Rafa is gona quit after tonights game, probably just mind games before the big game although bookies have stopped taking bets on it happening.

I think Real Madrid will be to strong for LFC tonight, They are playing well. 2-0 to Madrid.

Same, I see Real Madrid going 2-0. They've been on a winning streak on La Liga no?
And frankly, I can't see Juventus losing to Chelsea. I'd say they'll beat the blues 1-0 or 2-1. But they most certainly won't lose!

Yeah, I'm sure they've won about ten on the bounce now. At the moment they're an unstoppable force (they put six past Real betis in 45 minutes!), but a team from a different Country, who play the game differently may cause Madrid to change their style and struggle to get a result. Having said that, I think Madrid, with Raul in his current form especially, might just sneak it tonight.

In the last year or so we've defeated the all of the 2nd-5th placed teams in England at Old Trafford by either 3 or 4 goals. United could score two or more in this fixture, people were saying similar things to what you're saying now in 2007 and we scored 7. Bookies favour us to go through.

Man Utd must be careful of the 'freak' goals. With players Like Adriano who can pull a strike from almost anywhere. Inter have a few other players who can do the same. I see Utd going through unless its from like free kicks or super goals.

Like i've said before, Inter come up against Liverpool with similar unbeaten/winning runs and come away with a defeat, so don't take us to lightly and form means nothing.

The only worry i have is that we can't keep a clean sheet and if Gerrard doesn't play we could struggle to score. But these Champions League games seem to bring the best out of the team.

In terms of confidence, current form plays a huge factor on the players. A team on form means players are on form, gelling together and playing as a team. The Madrid team will be buzzing going into the match, and their morale will no doubt be in a peak state as well. Raul is also on fire, he's playing like he's still in his youth, and definitely needs to be kept at bay.

I agree about the Champions league bringing the best out of Liverpool, though, should be a cracking match.

Ooo Torres got a knock on his ankle and was walking to the touchline wow.gif .

Funnily enough as well, there's more Spaniard's in Liverpool's team than Real's lol. Didn't think i would see Rafa playing a 4-4-2 away from home...

f*ck me, most of these Madrid players have spent most of the time rolling on the floor, ref has been awful.

Chuffed as hell. Good performance, solid defence when needed, superb ball in for Yossi's goal from Aurelio, who was man of the match for me tonight, and although aided somewhat by poor defending, excellent placement for the goal.

And I think Bayern are through. smile.gif

Like i said form means nothing, just like Inter Milan last year Madrid got the same treatment and another Champions League away win and what more at the Bernabeu. Solid defending and Reina was great again for what he had to do, some nice build up play again but no one to do the magic in the final third. Glad to get a clean sheet at last.

And according to Sky Sports there was hardly and Madrid chanting and YNWA was getting belted around.

My favorite teams met, I personally rather want Liverpool to win because they always have more potential in champions league than Real, because Real always screws up when they have great chances of winning or coming somewhere...
