Something about this doesn't feel right. I don't believe any of this yet. Even if the magazine does say that P.M.T. will return to voice Lance Vance, that's strange.

Rockstar doesn't talk about casting THIS EARLY.

This is all rumors to me. Don't believe it.

They just looked at the cast of Vice City and discovered for the first time that a star from Miami Vice is part of the cast. They heard Lance will be back in VCS, so they just automatically said he'll be voicing again. That's what I think....

R* didn't reveal any information on the cast in the first two previews on the game, so I doubt they'll give it to this magazine. Then again... they're marketing strategies work in mysterious ways sometimes that you never know.

"Thomas's Vance is an African American ex-Marine who is led to the shady side of the law by his brother, lured by the promise of easy money."

Now who the f*ck is Thomas Vance?

he means thomas's vance as in the Vance brother that thomas plays. i would remain skeptical on this article tho even if it does seem likely that Philip Michael Thomas will vioce lance the other info is shady sneaky2.gif

Anyway, I though Philip Michael Thomas voiced Lance Vance... And Lance isn't a "ex-Marine who is led to the shady side of the law by his brother, lured by the promise of easy money."

Weird site.

"Philip Michael Thomas became a household name in 1984 as the co-star of quintessentially '80s cop show Miami Vice. Later this year, he returns to the city that brought him to stardom as the lead character in Rockstar's new game for PSP."

The lead character?

"In Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories, the 57-year-old Thomas plays the lead role of Lance Vance, says a new report in GamesTM magazine. "

I made an entry about it on GTAVice.com, mostly for the purpose of debunking it. The Kikizo article is sketchy at best.

I managed to pick up the new issue of Games TM today as well (you can't miss it as it has VCS splashed all over the cover). It does actually mention that PMT is the only confirmed voice artist but does not say that Lance is the lead, it specifcally talks about Vic being the lead character.

There are quite a few new screenshots as well (mostly of buildings etc) and it does mention that they haven't had it confirmed but based on the DJ's chat they heard that it looks like the music will include tracks from Frankie Goes To Hollywood, Depeche Mode and New Order (so they soundtrack should be along the lines of Vice City and not the unknown artists as in LCS). rah.gif

It also mentions that there is time contextual NPC behaviours such as party goers at night and bums at 5am etc. The only other new thing that they mention that is of any note is that the loading screen shows Phil Cassidy and Lance in an ugly red shirt.

Sorry I can't scan it but my scanner is on the blink at the moment suicidal.gif

Guys - Philip Michael Thomas's best days were twenty years ago. He would probably do Lance Vance again for a second boxed lunch to take back to the YMCA after the recording sesion.

He is probably telling anyone who will listen.

The editor seems to confused everything, but if you straighten it out, it makes a bit of sense. Especially the part about water being the hidden element--One of the major criticisms of the City of Vice itself was that it had too much wasted space, including the water.

It's not really *that* early, either. 2 months to go?

yea there is a lot of wasted space. they could have out a little more accessories or places in some spots where they put water. Like in leaf links. One of the areas is linked to the ocean. they could have built like a rest room in that place.(not a bathroom.)
