Hi,

I'm using Windows XP SP2 and I cannot install GTA1. When I go to the setup.exe file and double click it, my computer doesn't open it. It's acting as if I hadn't clicked it.

I've tried e-mailing the developers but they couldn't help me as they don't offer assistance on it and I have tried using the program compatibility wizard to run it under Windows 95/98 etc. but to no avail.

Does anyone know how I can overcome this problem or how I can manually install it?

Help would be much appreciated wink.gif

Thank you biggrin.gif

What version of GTA1 is it? I have an original budget version that says Premium Range Lime and that works fine on Windows XP SP1 and SP2. The free version from http://www.rockstargames.com/classics also works. Are you running an anti virus program? It's probably some other program you are running that is stopping the install.

My Premium Range Lime version can be manually installed by just copying the GTADATA and GTAWIN folders from the cd to a folder on the HD. It's not even compressed.
