Just noticed an interesting story over on GTAPortable.com... Could it be the first VCS teaser site...?

Sounds like it, interesting too. Hopefully we'll be finding out soon.

if it's a registered domain by R* then it's some sort of teaser.
whether it's for VCS, or maybe even for GTAIV next year.

but I don't see what else R* could use it for.

If you look at the official LCS website you'll notice emails sent from domains like vicecityrealty.com or libertytreenewspaper.com. These domains were never hosted on their servers, but registered to them. On Friday they transfered those domains over and of course I spotted the newly registered one.

It's either to be used for a teaser website, or like Maibatsu.com that they just secured as it's part of the game. I'd speculate that this will be something similar to C.U.N.T, where that "JT" from Vice City mentioned on the official LCS website opened this website. This would mean that VCS takes place in the era where people were able to open their own websites....

The WhoIs record has Take Two, and not the Rockstar, as the registrant on thedarknessisspreading.com. One of the servers under the RockstarGames.com is listed as a domain server for it, though, so perhaps T2 did register it for R*. However, the other domains for the teaser sites in the past have been registered by the R* driectly. I do not see why this suddenly would change. This might be another project by R*, and have nothing to do with GTA series.

It was Rockstar Games before. When they moved it over to the Take-Two servers they must have updated the registrant.
