Great stuff. I like the detail on the bonnet (hood).
Sod the bloody poly-count, for now, things can always be optimised later.
There are two great modifiers in Max ('Optimise' and 'MultiRes') for this purpose (sorry to keep banging on about Max).
For one thing, when used wisely, they're great for basic .LOD work. One final rumination
, and this is not a dig at any car modeller/s what so ever (least of all you, Cran), after all I have no right to do so...
Modelling 'sporty' looking cars is popular (what a supprise).
Apart from the 'Linerunner', who wants to remodel the 'five door hatchback', the 'family saloon (sedan)', the twenty year old 'Fo*d P.O.S.', or the baggage cart?
For instance, to get around my lot in game I've been using the 'fourwheelfun' cheat to spawn the quad bike.
Come on someone, you know you want to. Remodel it for MI.
If you read this Cerbera
, how about a new handling file so that it feels less like a faster golf buggy (unless you've already done one, I'm sorry to say, I've been too busy to install your handling mod).PS:
Sorry, yet again, this should have been posted in the 'Myriad Vehicle Discussion' topic, but I initially wanted to compliment Cran on his PPT post.
After aad posted his interactive PPT, I've been looking into VRML posts of future work.
If I do show any, I'll make sure that they are Firefox+generic VRML plugin compatible and, to please everyone, post .JPGs too.
