I'll start off with problems then. tounge.gif

Any idea on what might be causing this obscure whiteness?

Also, when I render the model is too bright. I only imported the 3ds after adjusting something in the model with zmod (UV mapping).

The blurred out area is something you guys aren't supposed to see yet.

Can someone jump into the illcom dev kit and get my illcom_c4_r7, then export it as a Vice dff? I need it so I can edit my lot! wow.gif

Nice lot Black, I cant say this in the other PPC.

Why don't you add a streets in the middle so its divided by 4. You make a Little Italy or a Little Mexico district. You add banners , shops and houses.

@Jost_Vice : your billboard is oversized, seems it's as big as a building itself. For the ideas, i think
lord fido says the best you can do. Divide your lot into parts, and make differents areas, and on the middle, the build.

Other than that, good work, need more ideas tough. tounge2.gif

Last time I used Zmod 1.7, when you exported to .3ds it always added a chrome material to the model which ended up causing similar problems. I haven't touched Zmod for over a year and I never used it to model anything so it might be a different issue. Check the material slots in Max and see if there is a chrome material anywhere. I'm rather lost as to why people stick with Zmod at all though.

When I first saw your problem I thought it was just a light source placed to near to the model.
I often get that when I place an omni light, but it renders fine.
Check your materials, not only for that chrome material, but also for the settings of your materials: glossiness, etc...

Bad news... my 3dmx 6 is f*cked, I dont see the move arrows, the objects, my work on the construction is save in a corrupted file (i can recover it dontgetit.gif ) beh... I download 3dmx 8 trial version, its work fine, but is it ''30 days'' bored.gif
(with this I want to say if any good person can help to... er... ''buy'' the 3dmx, but not here, you can send me a email)

I'm going to try to do new lot, ideas?

As you can see, there's still a sh*tload of work to do...(re)texturing, moddeling, details, landscaping, exporting, col, lod, ...
I remembered something about a deadline sigh.gif But hey, it's 3 lots, right?

Wow! Not only the buildings look great and very creative, I also love that extra road and your playing with the different heights of the terrain. That's the quality we need. icon14.gif

Looks good, but before you do any major work, i'd wait for the dev kit to come out for the north islands. But if you don't wont to wait for that long, illcom has a few free lots smile.gif

woo, nice model, mick. Any of these mansion have interior? its can be good for a mision (like the madd dog rymes in SA) tounge.gif
GT-1 the lot looks very good, I like the McOdie and motel, what go in the blank space?

cran, nice car, but what happens with the andatura? you have some cars in process, its mad.

I restart my c8_r6 lot with shops and offices, its very WIP and I need a lot of work to do (need to do the buildings in the blank zone, add more things to the buildings and fix some problems)

those renders dont look bad at all its just that they seem to look bad because of all the empty land thats still there but i like the overall view of it nice layout and good to see that MC odies will be finished tounge.gif . And how about the other WIP that Odie had before he died did anyone recieved them of his wife or something since i dont want any work of him to get wasted or trown away.

all your buildings really look sketchy and not that high detail at all i hope to see something better as the days will go hope it will turn out into and sweet ass lot. And whoah nice interior you got there forgot to say that.


I also have been working on something for the last days since my Lot 53 release. Its not much atm but it will be somekind of office building with a small enclosed interior. on top of that i will add some towers with skybridges please look forward to see my plans progressing i actualy havent made any plan or sketched it on paper yett because of my school. so here goes my first WIP ish trown of cube ish like building.

This would be a pretty good lot if you just add shrubs and trees in the open grass spaces.
