Hey, I thought some people might like to see this. I went to the rec. center in my town today, and they had the World series trophy. Now people probably have seen it alot, but I really liked the truck they carried it in smile.gif

I could just imagine taking a pair of plyers and ripping off each flag individually...

You believe in my 'Stros more than I do.

I'd just be happy with another playoff appearance.

It could be their year, but you can't know because I'm the psychic...

Anyways, yeah I'm surprised those flags never get bent or anything, lol
It would most certainly suck if it broke off by the Team's Manager, lol

so were you there when the asshole ex-SF Giants player (forgot name) slid into the catcher hella hard and then the catch slugged him in the face? and a mini fight broke out.

That game right?

Because his name is hard to spell, lol

Plus, the runner had the right to run into the catcher because he was blocking the base, even though he hit a homerun and the catcher didn't have the ball... lol Its legal to run him over without a ball(of course if he is blocking the base, lol)... Here

EDIT - not really but his name is Pierzynski...

I didn't even get to see it, because I think it was on a local Chicago channel, but A.J. didn't do anything wrong. The wrong call was made, because A.J. was called safe, but the catcher held onto the ball. Still, that's no reason to slug the runner. The Cubs' catcher should've been suspended.

You are way off sir... If you didn't see it then why are you saying something you don't even know, lol
To make it clear, A.J., hit a homerun and the catcher was in his way from getting into the bag... Therefore, your conclusion of him being called safe was the wrong call is false... He didn't even have a ball to hold onto so what made you thought the wrong call was called???

Because that's what they told me on the Comcast pre-game show. Catcher shouldn't be standing infront of the bag if it was a homerun anyway, so I'm still right that A.J. didn't do anything wrong, but I said what they said word for word. One of us is thinking of the wrong play. And since I don't have a time machine, we'll never know what play it was they were talking about. They were showing the play that A.J. ran over the guy and got punched in the face, though. Hmmm...

And don't PM me for something so stupid again.

Edit: Would've posted earlier, but the sites gotten slow on me.

Click on the gameday link. A.J. didn't even have a homerun that day. He infact, didn't even have an official at bat.

Nah, we're talking about the same one... I just had to clear up that the Cubs catcher never had the ball to begin with, but he didn't hit a homerun I meant to say he got a run... Either way, AJ had the right to run into him, because he was blocking his way home and you can't do that without the ball or the runner has the right to slam your ass down... lol

I consider this karma paying Pierzynski back, for running to first after this.

Um, A.J. was following the rules. If, anything, blame the Ump.

It all comes down to someone's point of veiw. And yes, I also blame the ump. Who was umping for the Angels game yesterday, and screwed them at least once.

PS, I thought the rule was, if you are struck out, you go to the dugout, not first base. Silly me.
