I just had this in my head; Since all the same textures will be distrubed with the game, we should take advange of the free space in the vehicle lights texture in vehicle.txd. It's not hard to do, just grab texture, light it up, etc. We just need to have the same vehicle.txd distrubed in the installer. I was thinking of adding a better circluar brake light texture, simular to a typical ferrari one.

Indeed, so stick it low, and an object will appear to take more damage, even if the total amount is hardcoded no?

The Damage Multiplier can be really sensitive. I set it once and one hit and my car blew up. Also it's kinda hard to get realistic handling due to GTA's VERY basic handling mechanism

GTASA has very advanced physics! It pisses over most racing games! You just have to try stuff out and carefully study the effect of each setting. As you get experience from doing this, you start to understand how it works and can create much better setups than the default ones. smile.gif

The fCollisionDamageMultiplier setting only applies to collisions. Bullets and flames will damage it by the same amount whatever this value.

What I mean is that you can't get realistic accelerations. It either goes REALLY fast or REAALY slow. Then you sometimes get it right

Search for real car statistics and copy them into your handling to get the most precise handling. its always tweaking till you got it perfect.

The handling.cfg file doesn't allow you to paste in 0-60mph times, or horsepower, or gear rations, or tyre widths, etc. All you can do is paste in the vehicle's mass and even then you have to figure out the TurnMass effect you want!

You can get pretty realistic acceleration if you study GTASA's Acceleration physics carefully. smile.gif

Hmmm, I've seen pictures and all in the Vehicle forum. You'd have to put SA Style taillights and headlights on it, but i'd want to fix up the size of those wheel arches. I haven't seen many smarts with 5" Wheels tounge.gif

My Andatura is pretty much finished, just have to do some texturing, scale the doors, bonnet and all, then mount the engine properly in the car and then do damage. I think i'll keep the wheels, since i'm a whore and all. It's 1k per half, including the interior and all. 1k for each wheel! tounge.gif Thanks Yoji! biggrin.gif

I guess I could make a lower poly version like locO said he knows how.

Erm...Anyone doing the motorbike models? Theres some designs Id love to make but have to reason too. I didnt know Myriad was coming to SA..Id be glad to help. Im thinking Ducati 999R San Andreas style.

I've just had a look at the screen shot of your Ducati 1000 DS for Vice City. Very nice!

The shot is a little too small to tell what the chrome texture looks like, but the fairing look lovely.

I don't think anyone's doing any bikes at the moment, I haven't seen any WIP. I think Cran's the man who may know.

I'd just go for it and show us all what you get up to.

I think using real company names is out, comedy names are much more inventive and fun.

I know this has nothing to do with conversions, but does anyone have links to Buchsi's vehicles? My MI says the Ant while I have the Faggio, and I need the file. Also his boat, the Sabane, and his Hammer patriot.

Erm btw..What bikes can it replace. I have it on the pcj600 at the moment
