Did this a couple of weeks ago out of boredom. First thing I've modelled in ages. Still need to add a few little things.

Edit: Different pics for the win.

A whole bunch of other renders and work in progress shots can be found here:

Also, a rubik's cube (just a test render):

Pretty sexy.

The edges are a bit rough and te headphone jack looks a bit small in comaprison to the rest but otherwise some good work.

And the rubik's cube can burn. Whenever have you seen one like that? Apart from when it's brand new. Or someone's done it, which is impossible by the way.

The edges only look rough because of a combined effort between a sh*tty render and jpeg compression. I'll try and do a nice render tonight if I have time.

The Rubik's Cube needs much more texture work, that was just a WIP render. I hope to have it looking like mine eventually (completely f*cked up from being solved with great speed 1000's of times).

Yeah, I can solve my cube in about a minute and a half. tounge.gif

A better render would be great. To give it a bit more shape I'd put one of those environment bitmap things on it so it has a sort of ambient reflection of stuff around it.

My brother once made it. But he had like 3 pages full of calculations and "graphics" of the rubik.

Love the iPod Shuffle...

Nice work, how long did it take you?

A few days, on and off. So probably a good few hours in total. I work slow. tounge.gif

I know the real life ipod shuffle has fairly sharp corners, but I think your model would look a fair bit better if you chamfered the edges... even if its only very small it would probably leave a more aesthetic and more realistic feel to it. It looks like you have done it in the first render, though the second shot looks rather square/sharp.
