Gunna start of with an apology, I should have had this done before Christmas last year but for personal issues I didnt manage to.

Any way, HERES !!!! the link to the new and final version of GTA Rally.

This version has new areas and some racing missions.

I have also posted a RALLY TIMES BOARD as well on the download page, people can post thier times and I will keep the TOP 10 updated.

This is the final version due to the fact I am no longer going to do any more GTA mods, its become pretty odvious that I really havnt got the motivation to do this anymore so I have decided to call it a day.

Any way enjoy the mod

Jost_Vice, thats old code from Vice City which I wasnt able to remove, its code for a sign somewhere in the downtown area.


The-end, no this mod wasnt meant for mydrid, I didnt know that radar was from that mod, it was part of the hub textures that spaceeinstein sent me as an update and its stayed ever since.

EDIT2:Am i the only one who hates gtagarage it hasnt downlaopded the full thing twice now ima try again, it did this before with grand tani isnads i ahd to download 4 times to get the full thing.

EDIT3: did it again can someone mirror this file i tryed 3 times to get it from gatgarage

EDIT4:4th try still carnt get the damn thing i need a mirror of this it never downloads fully from gtagarage the closest i got was 41mb

Don't IMG link to loads of massive images. Make small versions of them and IMG link to those, with URL links to the big versions. Or, just URL link to all your big pictures. It destroys the page layout in most skins when you IMG link in images bigger than about 500 pixels wide, which is why signature images are limited to 500 pixels wide.


A quick fix for the landless edges would be to have a wall going straight down, then update waterpro.dat so that the water goes right up to it. Terminate the ped paths before they reach the end, or make them cross over before the end of the road like a U-turn. That way peds won't fall off the edge. You could run some simple motorway style barriers along these edges.

Tidying up the last few things would allow you to leave modding with a last hoorah! tounge.gif You've released a lot of great projects in the past, would be cool to remember you as someone who saw things through to the end.

Alot of these problems arose when I transferred all of the work from my desktop to my laptop and had to use zmod 2 rather then zmod 1 so couldnt be helped. Thats my explination for 1 and 8.

If you read the Read Me file it explains in there how to start the racing missions so thats 2.

I dont see what your trying to say with 3 ?

I worked on this mod as if I was goin to carry on expanding it for some time to come, but odviously I have decided against that now, thats why you have the ped paths going off the edge occasionally and the roads that stop etc.

Land that doesnt quite join was always a major problem with that part of the mod, its was very difficult to join land up occasioanlly due to the way I had seperated it all in the 1st place. The only way I could have fixed that was to totally remake that area which is something that would have took ages so I decided against it.

Hey cerb,

The waterpro.dat file has always been screwed up since I transferred from my desktop to my laptop, I spent 5 hours just workin on that one day and it just wasnt having any of it angry.gif . I started it from scratch and it still didnt work correctly, so I dont know what more I could have done sad.gif .

I was planning to cover most of the edges, was planning to have more houses across from the other 1's to cover that bit of road, but some areas dont have edges for the reason I explained above about me intially going to carry on expanding on this.

It would be nice to be able to spend the time and tidy most of this up, but I really havnt got motivation for this anymore, modding isnt the priority that it use to be for me maybe 3 or 4 years ago when I 1st started. When I try to sit down and work on this like I use to, it just seems like a chor or task rather then something i get enjoyment from doing, this transmits into the work too, hence probably some of these problems occuring.

If you dont already know GTA Rally appears in The State of Liberty mod, so maybe they might tidy some of these issues up, thats up to them I guess.

Ok, odviosuly the wrong read me got put into the download. Basically go into the garage that you can see when u go to the question mark, theres a bloody ring racer in there but if you walk next to it, this is where the blip should be visable but for some reason doesnt work confused.gif . so just walk into the space next to the bloody ring racer and that will allow you to choose from 5 racers. Also if you get on the dirtbike near the start of the rally track that will give you a quick time trial race.

Kewl glad you like it, all that work was done by spaceeinstein (done very well i might add), i simply designed the track.
