On PC version you can download multiplayer mods that allow you to go online and play with your friends. But PS2 and XBOX versions will not go online.

Yeah VC-MP is the only well-established multiplayer right now.
You can look at Bounce and Rumble for San Andreas, but I don't think anyone has servers for those yet. They are on www.gtagarage.com.

Oh yeah for Vice City it seems to be. They are working on MTA San Andreas too.

Here you can find servers for GTA Rumble, most of them works 24/7.

MTASA looks promising, as does SA-MP. You can visit the MTASA website here.

I think you sort of have to creat your own? tho in the last MTASA video it seemed as tho you could do racing missions w/ the Hunter's and Hydras

Man, I sure wish I had VC and SA for the comp.

I guess I would have to find the proper versions, and learn a little more about computers, before I tried anything like that. But it sounds really cool and worth the effort.

And Neris, you are totally right about multiplayer games being much better. I had Xbox Live with H2 and a few other games, and it was awsome. A few friends I know have MMORPGs like everquest and WoW and they look and sound great, too.
