The large tube tunnel I am building between Liberty City and Vice City is named in honor of Odie, I never had spoken to him in my life, but he is the reason I mod...and mod highways. Unfortunatly at this time we do not have any kind of actual memorial structure for Odie, such as Myriad I believe built one for him. I know everyone on the team would love to be able to find a 3d model of the Odie Dog-Character (from the Garfield Comic Strip) that he nicknamed himself after.
I need to hit up the Bristo and see what is going on with it, I haven't been over in Portland, just Staunton, Shoreside and MML for the tunnel construction.
I should probably put the Odie-Character inside the Name-Sign though....
Also note I didn't just use the number 666 for the Satanic Value, US Highway 666 (child highway of the famous Route 66) was a highway established many eons ago in New Mexico, nicknamed "The Devil's Highway" of course. But after almost 100 years of the use of '666' the state finally realized it had satanic meaning, and changed its number. People were upset by this, as it was historic. Most of the numbers used for highways are taken from Dead-No-Longer-Existing Highways.

you know... i have an idea..
whatta ya say about billboards like the movie advertisement signs all on the inside of the tunnel.
along the walls
the images on the billbords could be screen shots of odies works .. that way you honor him
in an origional way.. that does not completely steal anything from him or anyone. nor take any credit
for his works.

I like the idea of the pictures, long as someone other than me will take a bunch, I don't really have any of his mods atm, and my internet connection is slow (dial up slow). I don't think billboards are really used in tunnels, but its a large tunnel, hang them from the ceiling, hehe.

I have alot of mods i've tried in the mod in the past, as you can tell from all the screen shots alot has been removed, In time I hope to combine all the mods into one again, waterful island and Odie's Statue.
2 Days before release.
Most of our time is going into cleaning all the bugs and trying to finished MML, When we have sorted all the issus with the EXE, we can start adding more.

Alot has been done, Many changes around MML, Plus all the tunnels added around LC and MML.
I did not have time to sort the SCM or hardcoded water table, but I did sort out all the bugs.
You will need a trainer to access the tunnels.
This will be my last post for 3 months, so I hope when people (my team) have time, Still keep working on the mod, So when I come back I can play catchup, and get ready for the next version of the mod.

Anyhow.. who has the lastest mod update 43v5?
(Off topic) with *R working on ViceCity Stories, I'm wondering weather its worth trying to update our VC.
What i do know is VCS will be set in the 90s, so I'm interested in any updates to the game they make.
I also need feedback so I can plan the next stage of the mod. (SA islands).
Q. How do you rate this mod compared to all the others out there?
Let me know, because I want to keep on improving stuff as we complete this mod

Dunno Mate, I started this project to pass the time, (Enjoyment reasons too)
I only mod when I have tons of free time.
As for those stars, no biggie, I guess you only get stars, if you help other community members.

There is a new update 12.Apr.06 on GTA garage, this fixes last nights bug finds.
However any texture and model issues have to wait until beta 44v5.
1, Not so solid seawall around mainland liberty.
2, A damaged texture at phils place.
There will be nightly updates from this point on.
Edit; Images are being lost due to Imageshacks change in hosting rules.

Quick post; I've added back all the Garages, Pickups, Vehicle locations and save points
I have also decided to release some new textures and a model to fix some
problems with Phils place and airport unfinished textures.
There are 4 files (in the models folder) to replace in your SOL gta3.img
file, I'm going on the basis you know how to use Imgtool, All you need to do
is find and replace the old files with the newer versions, in this models
If you not sure how to do the above, ask on the Public Release forum in mapping.
I have tested the mod on a 1.8Ghz laptop, and speed wise seems to work very well.
Here is the pics.
Water problem is still an issue sadly, observing weird things at the washington underground mall.
As I stated at the top of this post, all Airport Textures are fixed.
Phils place has a remark, new textures on GTAGarage.

Why cant i download SOL @ gtagarage anymore?
And how do you include the exe? do you just include it in the installer, so it overwrites the original exe, or did you make a patch, so it patches the original exe?

The exe i have is the one with the no cd incluted.
Is it still the same, or did you enable the cd-check again, becus of R* and legal notice?
