Could this thread be locked or moved until I reach a point where I am ready to release this mod again, (Thinking about forum rules.)

This post, I donít know what to really say, Nor do I have any idea on a release date yet.

I've had some major setbacks. This is because of limited manpower on the team of a project of this size, and team members who wanted to do their own thing.

I also regret that when I first posted this topic on this forum section. I had a working release almost ready. (Map version 3)

This is because some members from GTA Ultra; joined our team, in the hope that we could all work together for something bigger and better.

So with GTA Ultraís help we had GTA3 with snow, all seemed good at the time, a mod was released as a team preview, (A work in progress by this team member), but done in a way everything was totally changed from the plan I had already laid out, leaving the rest of my team idle as this member continued to work on the mod for himself.

This is not teamwork, and I dad have a working plan at the time (Map Version 3) that had been totally changed without my consent, and since my disapproval off this his work since was never handed over. So Iíve been forced into starting project over. (3 weeks into Map version 5).

I want to finish this project, changing map plans has worked out better in a way, each plan has got that much better, taking into account of what has been posted on the forums on how the cities should be.

I have no ego or anything to prove here either, I started this for enjoyment reasons only, and as far as I know, I have not stepped on any ones toes, but there sure seems to be a lot of people out there, as far as credit stealing goes.

I do need good people on the team, but if your anything like what has happen here, you will have joined the wrong team.

Hey this mod look's great been following it in the map editing forum's, have you got any screens of san andreas running in the vengine yet? or havn't you got any converted.

Also do you have a map of where the ilsnads will be placed ?

Well done McKay on getting VICE and LIBERTY into San Andreas. Does this mean that San Andreas will be removed and Lib and Vice inserted. If so then i think you'll need to make some good LOD's as they aren't ideal to fly high over.

@Grant_has_a_dream: I think you may be a little confused. McKay (and team) --> is <-- putting San Andreas, Liberty City and Vice City into the GTA: VC Game Engine. To answer why San Andreas is being placed in the VC-Engine is because McKay has written permisison from R* to release this mod with a Modified EXE File (which is illegal to disturbute otherwise). The SOL team has made alot of coding changes and reworking of the VC Game Engine. McKay has written to R* about getting permission for using and releasing a modified San Andreas EXE, but R* has yet to answer back.

This is just a general map I put together from another image. Both VC and LC are in scale to each other, and the distance between the two in this map is the distance between the two islands in GTA:SOL. This map doesn't include any other non-stock additions to the map (such as "Mainland Liberty" that is being built).

Oh right. Sorry i never realised that, i do apologise. There must be extensive modifications to the EXE in order to run San Andreas and everything else when it is just a customisation of a Vice EXE. To be perfectly frank, i think this is doomed, i so hope it's not, but i really cannot see Rockstar giving the permission. If need be i'll drive 20 miles down the road to there office and demand permission be granted to this mod. devil.gif On a side note, it will be really something if you manage to get all the Islands together in one big super GTA.

MLL is almost done, Will be moving onto the next island. (Be releasing the mod) before we add the next peice of land and SA.

May i ask how you have managed to get all of this into an area the size of San Andreas? Have you found some way of expanding on the area allowed? Or have you had to request permission from Rockstar to do that? Either way, it's looking great.

Well the edited the exew and did alot of coding etc so i suppose anything is possiible, it's like there making a new game engine. 1 question will you implemnt the climbing feature from san andreas

Still uploading onto GTAGarage but the mod is already uploaded on to GTAWIP.

I've picked these 2 sites because of bandwidth considerations and it would be nice to find one more site.

Anyhow FYI, before you download:

Download and unpack the GTA-SOLBeta42v5.part01.rar, This is the main zip archive (exe file).

Before you download Parts 2, 3 and 4, Make sure before you unpack the mod you have:

GTA-SOLBeta42v5.part01.exe
GTA-SOLBeta42v5.part02.rar
GTA-SOLBeta42v5.part03.rar
GTA-SOLBeta42v5.part04.rar

Unpack the mod by selecting GTA-SOLBeta42v5.part01.exe in the
same folder as parts 2, 3 and 4.

I've hit the Download limit (232 downloads since I last checked)

Sadly i've gone way over the limit in a matter of 2 hours, I was kinda afaid this was going to happen (I don't want to max out GTAWIP bandwidth just for one mod)

So I am hoping the mod i've uploaded onto GTA garage will be approved.

That part of your release post is very ambiguous, how can we make sure we have parts 2, 3 and 4 before we download them?
