Comment: Absolutly frikkin' great little App rah.gif

What is it?
  • Reads your savefile and gives you a rundown of your completion status on all missions in the game.
  • Shows you the unique jumps that haven't been done on a map. Optionally also shows landing zones and camera positions for the jumps.
  • Shows you the gang tags, snapshots, horseshoes and oysters that haven't been done on a map.
How to run?
  • Unzip the file and run sama.exe. Open the savefile you want to analyze from the menu.
Release Notes:
  • The program requires that you have .NET framework 1.1 installed to run. If it's not there it won't start. The .NET framework can be found here. If you don't want to install .NET, I've added a command-line version of the tool. It's in the zip file and it's called gx. Run it from a command prompt with "gx save_file_name" and it will give you a printout with all the information.
  • It's been tested with version 1 savefiles. There is no risk in trying it on savefiles from other versions or with mods, since it only reads the savefile. If you do, it will do one of three things - 1) work correctly or 2) give an error message saying that the savefile is invalid or 3) believe the savefile to be valid and analyze it but show results that may be partially or fully incorrect. I've also tried it on 2nd Edition savefiles. It analyzes the file and gives the correct information for the unique jumps and pickups. I'm not sure about the mission information.
  • Storyline missions are not listed in detail. Instead, they're represented by "End of the Line", for which you get a status. I figured that's enough.
Version Updates Changelog
Oct 30 2005
  • Improved the analysis of safehouses and unique jumps. This part now works on a wider range of mods.
  • Command line version automatically searches for savefiles in the default folder where GTA:SA puts them as well as the current directory.
Oct 21 2005
  • Bug fix - the savefile wasn't closed properly so it couldn't be saved again while SAMA was still open.
  • Added a toolbar.
  • Added an option to analyze a GTA:SA loaded game running in parallel with SAMA. This feature uses memory addresses from the 1.0 US version of gta_sa.exe. The memory addresses are not version-portable. As with savefiles, there is no risk in trying it on your game, since it accesses the game's memory in read-only mode. You'll get an error message if a loaded game is not running or if it determines the version is incompatible.
  • Command line version uses ranges for item numbers (shorter printout).
Oct 19 2005
  • Added menu options for saving and printing the map.
  • Made the window size and settings on the map tab page "sticky". They get saved (to the registry) on exit and reloaded on the next run.
  • Command line version now uses pickup item numbers from the maps on gta-sanandreas.com instead of gamefaqs.com
  • Fixed some minor errors in the coordinates of some of the items.
Oct 18 2005 - Original Version

Either the analyzer needs a bit of tweaking or my save game has a bug in it.
While it did show me which jump I was missing, which I won't rant how screwed that way, it said I didn't have a Safe House when infact I did.
It said I didn't have Fort Carson, but I quick look at the ingame map shows that I do and a visit there plus a safe there triple confirms it.

brilliant smile.gif I'm downloading it now. I won't be needing it for a while, but it will be nice once finding things randomly gets old to be able to just locate and jump to specific things.

edit: I just loaded the program up to check it out before sleep... man, this thing rocks!! biggrin.gif Thanks for the link dude!

is the new version essential? were there bugs to fix? I have the version that was up at the date of my last post and I haven't noticed any issues (though I'm very far from 100% still so I can't tell yet if something is misreading)

Mirror. (RapidShare is annoying). I'll update mine with new versions too.

Edit: Have you ever considered looking into an option to select your exe version so we can have realtime exe-reading work for more than just the v1 EUR exe? tounge.gif Though savegames for v1.01 work no problem, so I'm happy for the moment.

In my post I have mentioned that this IS NOT my creation and there's a link to the Topic at gta-sanandreas.com where the real Author posts. Alternatively I have also mentioned his nick here at GTAForums.

It's always a good idea to have the latest version as this App is still a Work In progress. Yes a 'bug' was fixed where the Safe Houses weren't being recorded properly.

This is brilliant, lovin it

Could potentially add a category though.. whether youve got 100% of territories or not. Though i understand this could be complicated by glitched territories. Also... maybe a category for things like weapon skill/stamina/health and so on?

But they're not needed by any means, just suggestions on where the person could go from here. Would make there be more ticks on mine which'd make me feel warm and fuzzy inside =]

Just used this, when I did a 100% save, this was excellent. I found it much easier completing SA 100%, Because spraying tags, collecting horse shoes, was much easier with this. cool.gif

jsut downloaded, and it tells me I don't have a safe house, when I actually have them all.

"El Quebados" I saved the game at the safe house then refreshed the application to see if it was ticked yet, still not.

I have the AO V2.0 of the game.

Are you using any mods or trainers? That could affect the save and SAMA might not be able to detect certain things appropriately.

You can even upload your savefile at GTASnP and refer the checklist over there. Or provide me the download link and I'll check it on SAMA.

This is what SAMA shows me:

I have no idea why it's not showing it correctly for you. Instead of analysing a running save, close the game and load the savefile.
