[REL]New Trailer for GTA:SA

Hi, i'm new here blush.gif I making new trailer for GTA:SA:

Model is 100% ready, but, I have 2 problems. How i can make trailer not dark but 'gloss' just as scania? Why truck with this trailer move oneself without driver? even handbrake is on truck and trailer move. Why? i'm from poland and my english is bad, sorry, i hope you understand me blush.gif

Hey Wombat...

The truck probably moves because of the handling setups... but I'm not sure... sounds strange anyway...

As for the gloss... depends whether you work in zmod or in max... but basically you need specular highlight and reflections... those are all special attributes to a material... and they are setup different in each program...

But please do not make it as glossy as the Scania... it's way too shiny that truck...

handling setup? no, because truck without trailer don't move. I use zmod and i making trucks and trailers for 18WoS:PTTM, so this trailer is my first steps in gta modelling. i don't know how make "specular highlight and reflections..." because in 18WoS:PTTM this things i make in another software, not in zmod.

To do specular go into materials editor, look down to "Extensions" and its a tick box in there. You will then be able to adjust the intensity with the slider bar.
Nice and easy. As for the trailer moving on its own, check the models axis is in the correct position for a trailer. I have noticed that axis positions can affect vehicles handling without changing any other stats.
That may be your answer.

The trailer looks nice, hope to see it up and running soon.

lil' question... Is it abel to put Night Textures (Standart SA) on the rear lights of a Trailer, as they glow @ night ? suicidal.gif I think not... beacaus nobody start the "virtual Motor" of the trailer... hmm confused.gif

And what about SA License Plats ? biggrin.gif

The truck isn't his, its the trailer that he's doing to go with the Truck.

about the problems - have you tried recalculating normals?

also i notied that truck has reflection maps on it and trailer doesn't have any.

As I said the truck wasn't made by him thus why it has reflections and the trailer doesn't. wink.gif

this happens with original trailers too, the physics programmers didn't bother much fixing it, it happens if trailer and car collide together and huge forces are applied on the trailer, all you can do is give a little more room to prevent many collisions between car and trailer.

Glad to be of assistance.
As for your collisions, they look fine to me.
The only problem I can forsee is the one above the towing pin, it might be conflicting with the rig towing your trailer's. Try removing or reducing and raising it slightly to see if that makes any difference.

EDIT: Had another thought, try placing the dff node in between the axles as well, this sometimes has a great effect with other vehicles balance.
