Sorry if this is in the wrong forum, but I thought this was weird. I was just on the internet looking at pr0n reading some of the great topics here at GTAF, when all of a sudden I get a virus warning pop up thing. (Pic) So, umm, yeah. I just thought that was pretty weird.

Spyware or Spam, I suggest ending the program in the task manager and looking for it through Search and deleting it. Then again maybe it's the link you clicked. Oh and look for someone to add to their post count by telling you this is in the wrong forum.

He's right. God, I hate how Windows does that. It should say 'There's a problem with Window Pictures and Fax Viewer' but it doesn't.

Actually no. He's not right. I took the screenshot once, but it screwed up and it was in black and white. So, I had it up in Windows Picture and Fax Viewer. I took the pic again and it worked and I still had the Windows thing open.

Yeah, that's what I thought.

Did you look at your task manager to see if you can find "lol" in the processes list?

No, I don't see it. The warning thing said it closed it, but I don't know if it could have left something on my computer before Windows ended it.

Of course it's not in the task manager.
What part of "PREVENTION" aren't you people getting? It means to stop before it can begin.

Go get AVG Free Edition and do a full system scan after you get it installed

It's not a WinXP skin but rather a Firefow theme called PimpZilla

Nope looked at the screens of PimpZilla and that's not it, even though that FF skin is pretty nice. But look closely at his Windows XP Taskbar, it's more glossy and the window title bars are also alot more glossy.

Skin

You'll be able to see what I mean. There's quite a big difference. smile.gif

My bad, I didn't notice the taskbar or any real difference between it and the standard taskbar.
I don't run my XP using the themes/skins lke that, I run the classic look for better performance and cleaner look.....to each thier own.

on topic: thats some weird sh*t. cant say that ive ever seen that before. best advice would be to see if theres anything on the hard drive using something like AVG as mentioned.

Yeah, I got XP Media Center with my new pc so that's what it is. I never really noticed that it was that big of a difference. Also I am using the Pimpzilla skin for FF.

Well, anyways. I used that AVG thing that wolf68k posted and I haven't seen that "lol" thing for a while so I think it's gone now. Thanks for your help!
