Since there is a new James Bond movie coming out in 2006, there must be a new actor to play the part. It is said that the film will take place during the younger years of Bond's assignments, and he has to be younger than the current Bond, who is 51. He needs to at least be in his late 20's, early 30's. Sean Connery was the youngest actor ever to play 007, at the age of 32, but he certainly didn't look his age. He looked much older. Well, now the production company of the 007 movies is looking for just the right person to play the part of 007. Who should it be? cool.gif

It should be Clive Owen, suits 007 to a tee.

Brosnan was a good Bond. He shouldnt have been dropped. I dont know who the next Bond will be. I just hope its not "Mr. Smith" because he's a fagarino when it comes to action flicks. I dont know very many actors who would fit Bond. But I'll tell ya, there is NO ONE who can replace Q.

I think Clive Owen looks a bit too rugged. Needs to be someone suave and stylsh.

How about Pierce Brosnan. He signed for 5 movies, and has only done 4. Despite what has been said in the news, EON have neither confirmed nor denied that Brosnan will or will not do another movie.

I think a rugged 007 is what we need. Clive Owen all the way.
Though he has too great of a career heading his way to waste his time on one series.

I suggest they bring Sean Connery in as the aging 007. He dies when his plane crashes into a giant garden gnome, and Vin Diesel takes his position in the MI6.

I agree with that to the end of the Earth.

Brosnan was my favorite Bond, he always played the part so well. Almost to the point I refused to watch Bond movies without him. And his roles in the video games/Brosnan characters were awesome.

But, no one can replace John Cleese. He was a great Q.

I personally don't care who the next Bond is--I'm just hoping they're good. cool.gif

I'm going with Clive Owen too. Only actor around at the moment that fits the mould. I couldn't see it being Bloom, as he's too young, Jude Law's a really a woman, and Hugh Jackman's Australian. I dont want any more foreign Bonds. 007 is English. (I do already that Roger Moore was the only English Bond, so no one needs be a smartass and point that out.)

I think he's still Q, but I heard Cleese was leaving, for some reason.

I may be wrong. My wonderful sources. sigh.gif

I agree it should be an English actor. All the more realism. Considering it takes place in England...

Jullian McMahon. Yes he's Australian, but he's one damn good actor. He would suit the role very well imo. I also wouldn't mind Clive Owen.

Eric Bana might make a fine James Bond, but who knows.

I cant remember his name but do you know the black guy who is 'M's body guard of chief of security in the movies now?
Well he is tipped to take the role so I heard, this was last year anyway, he was favorite then.

If not, then clive Owen for me, Jude law wouldnt be that bad either, but not great.

Charles Robinson (Colin Salmon) is the guy.

I personally don't think he is suited or going to play the role.

The fact that Orlando Bloom cannot act might also be a factor. tounge.gif

Jude Law - oh god... no... suicidal.gif

Eric Bana - Maybe... not convinced, but he might make a good Bond. I couldn't really judge until I'd see him in action.

Clive Owen - Probably front-runner in my books, although not really because he'd be an awesome Bond, more because there's no one else... confused.gif

Slightly surprised that no one has suggested Christian Bale (Batman Begins), as I believed he was in the running. Given that I've not seen Batman begins however, I'm not sure how good he'd be. He was pretty 'smooth' looking in Equilibrium... despite the film being rubbish. wink.gif

Equlibrium was an excellent movie.
