Ok now this is getting annoying

Lately my ps2 has been sounding like its scratching the sh*t out off my games! The games run fine but in the end i go so piss*d off with the noise i end up turning it off! Seriosuly it sounds like a shreader inside sad.gif

Anyone have any idea why this is

Thats wierd, how do the CD's look when you take them out?

A few scratches here and there but thats normal nearly all my games are like that

It's the start of a DRE (Disk Read Error) problem. A cog that has something to do with the alignment of the laser is out of place. There's many guides on how to fix it. But it all involves opening your PS2 up (rendering the warranty void).

Is your PS2 still with'in the warranty period? if so it'd be an idea to call up Sony.

You should just play it until it dies and then give it to EB Games. That's exactly what I did and they didn't even test it. I only got like $40 though. confused.gif

The laser is indeed f*cked up, I took my PS2 apart and cleaned it and it worked fine, but I highly suggest you don't do it, unless you know what the f*ck your doing.
