I think you should release it in one big version. And as for SA, I don't know, I'm thinking of a more realistic layout, instead of having all highways over water and stuff we maybe could add huge country landmasses in between of the cities/islands. But that's gonna add loads of work for the team to do. confused.gif

The team ummm interesting, more work for me to do.

I may sound like i'm getting fed up, but i'd be happy when Deathsquad is back.

I seem to be having problems getting SA in, but I hope i can finish that part of the map soon, so I can go back to modelling stuff to finish of MLL.

for the map, i think you should put it kind of like the real world layout, have san fierro north western part, los santols south western, vice city south eastern, and liberty city north eastern. MLL should be somewhere in the center but somehow more connected to liberty city.

I don't think we should change the layout again, I think we should add landmass to connect it. Otherwise it's gonna be SCM sh*t and stuff again. confused.gif

Well i've converted all the SA text files to VC ones. Click here to view files.

SA will be 6000 units west of VC, changing stuff around was only an idea, but everything is going to stay the same.

Converting SA into SOL has been harder then I planned, as I was only able to convert all the text files (IDE, IPLS) using scripts, However creating a dff/txd converter was to much of a headache, but to be honest creating a tool like that is above me at this time, so these files had to be converted by hand with the needed col files using 3dsmax and TXDworkshop.

I have spent 2 weeks just converting files belonging to FSe.IDE.

All the files have been sorted and matched up in with their IDE files, and sorted into their own folders.

I need a team of people to help me in completing this task, as it will take me 6 mouths to do this alone.

youre probably tired of me responding to your help requests, but than never really doing it because i cant get it to work, but i think if you give me a step by step thing on how to do it i could get it done pretty easily, and i wouldnt ask much more. so if you need help im always there, i just need instructions. i am very familiar with max and a i know enough about txd workshop.

Fair enough, I need to find a better method myself to convert these models, as soon as I do, I'll bring you into the project.

I noticed that too, I'd say leave it here, but also go to another site.

Maybe this is because of people thinking GTA: SL isn't much work or something, I feel hostility towards the mod, dunno why.

well, you could have your own forum on the http://www.gtastateo.../wiki/Main_Page website, and post all the forums about the website so that people visit it, and find out you need more people to help convert SA in VC, but this plans has ups and downs. good thing is that you will be your own admin, the bad thing is there wont be as many passerby's that would help out.

Not dead. Mc-Kay is the only one working with the mapping, so he has to convert ALL of SA by himself.. some 14000 models.. by hand. If you want it not to look dead, help. Work goes into mods, it's not as easy as you think.

yeah, with someone as dedicated as keith, it will take much more than some slow times to make the mod die.

i wouldnt underestimate young people. im only 15, well i guess thats not much considering every time ive tried and put something in game something went wrong tounge2.gif . we just need, lets say, a bit more instructions haha.

but hell, i wont argue with you over who to pick, its your mod.

All good things take time. Mc-Kay has already done too much and is too committed to this to quit now. I think he is determined to finish this so letís just wait. This mod is far from dead and hopefully someone will come to help out with the progress soon. Iím sure it will happen.
