Me too,it's beatifull and the game works run,not like gta3 tounge2.gif

When we start with the Staunton Island missions, I think the helicopters should be locked until "A Drop in the Ocean." Rockstar made helis this way in VC and SA, so should we follow suit?

That's already done. With $MASTERLCDEBUG off, the game will play as close to GTA3 as we can. Bikes will be available right away, and helicopters will show up once the 3rd island is open.

For anyone that wants some of those lovely GTA3 style trails on their LC, I've put a mini-tutorial up here.

@ESMazter : I see how to export that text from the MenuEditor, but I can't see a way to import. Am I missing something obvious here, because it would be a lot easier if people could just import that file rather than mucking about with the MenuEditor itself...?

Is there any way to put in the dmagic's wheel mod in GTALC?
I've tried and undone everything because the numbers are not correct.
The vehicles with the custom rims have the default GTA3 rims you put ingame.

You install teh Dmagic1 Wheelmod as you do into VC there should be no changes necessary.

Wheel Mod should already be installed I believe it has been since v1. Nowheel.dff in in the models\generic\ folder. Check the default.ide for the wheel mod.

Dmagic's wheel mod is installed already with the beta2 files. If you have beta1, you'll have to add it yourself. It's done the exact same way as VC.

Shouldn't there be an IRC channel for GTA:LC? Like #gtalc for example? I'll let somebody on the higher part of LC to register it.

I hang out on Gamesurge and the MTA IRC server, so those would be the easiest for me, but GTANet does have their own IRC server...

There's only been a few times that I've gone into the IRC room. And everytime that I've gone there, the gtamodding room was completely (or nearly) empty. That'd be the place that we could hang out.

I'm bumping this topic in the hopes that it will get used more (instead of everybody making new posts). It's tiring for me to see as we've set up this forum so there's a place for just about everything. When new topics get made, quality threads are bumped to the 2nd page (where they're almost never heard from again)

I now have access to move entire threads to the recycle bin. We'll continue to lock topics that don't need to be created, but after a few days those topics will be binned.

It's hard enough to keep up with all of the posts when things are in the right thread, but all of these new threads make it even more difficult. I'd rather spend my time getting "Sayonara Salvatore" working properly. And I think you guys would be more happy if I got the bugs out of that mission as well.

Let's try to keep these forums clean.

So is the dodo gonna be fully fixed? i.e. full wings, proper plane noise (cant you just use the skimmer's sounds?) and height limit sorted?

Also are there any mods out there for different planes? - I like flying biggrin.gif

No, the Dodo will not be "fixed" in that regard as the clipped wings is just how it was in GTA3.

But there most likely will be an addon for it. smile.gif

I would like to see the engine sound of the dodo sorted out though. But the wings will stay as they are for the official release. The handling may be tweaked a little more, but nothing extreme will change.

I was thinking...wouldn't it be possible (and more feasable) to put the dodo in a car slot instead of the rc baron's? Has Hammer had any luck finding the vehicle slot definitions?

I've actually got 2 questions. Can a mod be made so that a helicopter can fly higher? Also, since now Dem is banned, is there gonna be any major changes in LC?

Your first question is already done. Helicopters can go all the way up to Donald Love's roof now.

And the answer to your second question is nothing really will change. Demarest has been very disconnected from the team (which was entirely his choice) for a long time. But his absense from the forums will not change much if anything as far as this mod is concerned.

On a personal note, I'd like to publically thank Demarest for everything he did during his time at GTAForums. While I don't know half of the real story behind his banning, I know that this project would have never been started if it wasn't for Demarest. And I know that I probably wouldn't have even been involved if he wasn't the original guy in charge.

You put my feelings nicely into words, so here it is my first "me too" message on the forums smile.gif

He'll probably done some serious wrong stuff, since the staff who've been backing him up al this time are publicly apologizing for his behaviour.
But I will always remember Dem as the great modder he was, and for the endless effort he put into helping others develop their skills.
I'll always be thankfull for all the things he did for the modding community.

I don't think anybody's forgotten about killer.ip. The best thing about killer.ip was he was an expert at pretty much everything that I know nothing about. I really like to see the results of this mod if we both were going full steam.

If you're just using the beta1 files, then there was an error in the handling.cfg file. You can get an updated one in the OFFICIAL UPDATES thread.

On that note - are the cheat codes from the original game going to be reproduced (not necessarily for the v2 release)?
