I'm not sure which I like better, personally. I like how simple they both are, but, eh, tell me what you think. Which is the better of the two, and comments and criticisms on both of them.

(I've been making a few of these threads lately, trying to get at least a little better on Photoshop)

I think theyre both really good. My personal favourite out of the two is the one with the strikeout line through it.

The only thing I think that needs some work on is the text. It looks a little pixilated to me, maybe you should highlight the text and change the thing that says "None" to "Sharp." I don't know though, it might be the font.

Wow, you got text, put it on a background, and WOAH YOU MADE ANOTHER ONE WITH A LINE
WITH A BORDER!

Looking at that image makes me want to gouge my eyes out, because for something so blank, it's soooo horrible.

To be honest with you i much preferred your previous sig with the swirls in it.

If you want to improve on this one do something to the background! At the mo its too plain for me as its just plain lilac really.

And now since I actually had time to make something, and was semi-serious about it:

That's better then the last one you made, Eric, but I ain't impressed, yet. The sig doesn't have anything special, so try to come up with something not many people have/can make.

It isn't about making something no one else can make...I could care less.

The first two are kind of plain, but the third one looks better.. Is the wording in the first two your old avatar scaled up? If so, then paste the unscaled avatar onto it. If not, then I'd say to take the third one, remove the lettering, give it a smaller border, and try the text from the first one again. But like they said AA, or autohinting (I'm not sure if the program you're using has the same options, since I use gimp. blush.gif ) will make it smoother.

I don't have the skill to make something that nobody else could make, but I still like making my own, so I know where you're coming from. Also, even though the first two aren't anything spectacular, I actually didn't mind the offset on the dropshadow, normally I'd offset it much less, but it made it look like the letters were floating farther from the background.

K, Pound boy. We can make fun of other's work when:

1) They actually give a sh*t about your opinion.

2) You've built up a foundation in Photoshop and Graphics so that you actually have the savvy and the know-how to do better. Havn't seen any masterpeices come from you before.

3) When you change your goddamn post wrapper FFS.

@Eric - Not a bad start, just keep doing what you're doing. Atleast you know how colour composites work, which is a lot in comparison to most newbs at graphics. Good luck man.

Not to bad Eric, if your going for the simple look. You need to fix up the Anti-Aliasing on the text though it spoils it confused.gif .

Shut the f*ck up until you can make something better.

Wangshaft.

Anti-Aliasing is something that you can do to text that makes it less-choppy. I'll observe...

The top one is set to "None" which means to anti-aliasing.

The bottom is set to "Crisp" which makes it much more... Well, crisp.

The only font type you should set the Anti-Aliasing to "None" on, is pixel fonts.

Hope that's cleared up.
