Problem with a mod

I having a problem with the police skins car mod, every time I try to do it a, DISK IS WRITE PROTECTED sign appears. how in the hell do I take the write protection from the disk. can somone please help me?? bbq.gif

sounds like you need to to uncheck the read only box in properties.
i could be wrong but try it...

edit: im assuming that you want to change the texture in the gta3.img,
so yeah uncheck read only on the whole gta folder and subfolders and it should work.

I did that, it keeps telling that the media is write protected, WHAT DO I DO??? bbq.gif

Common people please help me, I didnt post this to be looked at. Tell me how to remove the write protector from a PS2 disk and it can be done, ive allready got the mod for the game (gta3) and it will work, it has been approved from another web site...

(1) PC version TXDs and DFFs don't work on the PS2.
(2) You'd need to make an image of the disc and modify that...
(3) But that strips the boot data and and it won't run even if you have a chip.

Unless you have a hard drive, you can't modify the PS2 versions of the GTA games at all. Even if you do, your options are extremely limited.
