Hey, you may know me as the person who made the Transfender mod, but I am wondering if anyone has tried to figure out a way to make wheels buyable on cars that don't normally go into transfender. I have tried multiple things, but nothing has worked. I'm wondering if theres a flag or something that says something about Transfender, and what vehicles can go in it/buy wheels. I know carmods.dat changes what vehicles can go in it, but I'm just wondering if theres anything else.

yep , for example , when you copy the flags of a lowrider ( voodoo ) and paste it into a banshee or something, you can drive with the banshee inside of the loco lows tuning shop and tune it like a lowrider biggrin.gif

what exacly do you have to change to make a vehicle think its a lowrider?
i know nothing about flags.

i have a lowered modded bobcat that i want to use for the lowrider missions,
would be cool if i could mod it also.

im thinking it must be in the handling line because when i made new handling for the savanna it refused to enter the mod garage until i gave it the old handling line back.

ok let me try to explain what you have to change !

this is the line of a banshee

BANSHEE 1400 3000 2 0 0 -0.2 70 0.75 0.89 0.5 5 200 33 10 R P 8 0.52 0 34 1.6 0.1 5 0.3 -0.15 0.5 0.3 0.15 0.49 45000 2004 200000 1 1 1

the red line is the flag , if you copy the flags of a savanna and replace the banshee flags ...the game will think that the banshee is a lowrider biggrin.gif

SAVANNA 1500 2500 2 0 -0.6 0.1 70 0.7 0.84 0.55 4 160 24 5 R P 8.17 0.52 0 35 1 0.1 0 0.3 -0.15 0.3 0.25 0.3 0.52 19000 200000 2010000 1 1 0

banshee lowrider :
BANSHEE 1400 3000 2 0 0 -0.2 70 0.75 0.89 0.5 5 200 33 10 R P 8 0.52 0 34 1.6 0.1 5 0.3 -0.15 0.5 0.3 0.15 0.49 45000 200000 2010000 1 1 0

just to confirm, this does work but does not give you all of the options a normal savanna would have like exhaust bumpers and flame paint.

it did however give me hydaulics, regular paint, bass boost nitrous,
and a few of the wheels, but only like 5 sets.

i also ended up using it for the caesars lowrider missions which i originally wanted to do.
so yeah, good advice,
but like you said im not sure if it would work on all the cars either.

the lowrider and street racing cars have their unique paintjobs stored in their .txd files so u can't use them on other cars

IF you look in the CarMods.dat fiel you will lines that look like:

CODE
savanna, exh_lr_sv1, exh_lr_sv2, fbmp_lr_sv1, fbmp_lr_sv2, nto_b_l, nto_b_s, nto_b_tw, rbmp_lr_sv1, rbmp_lr_sv2, rf_lr_sv1, rf_lr_sv2, wg_l_lr_sv

You can try adding a new line and changing the "savanna" to the name of the car. (i.e. "banshee")

I just figured out what controls, which wheels go on which cars!

In the carmods.dat file we have the three wheel groups
CODE

0, wheel_gn1, wheel_gn2, wheel_gn3, wheel_gn4, wheel_gn5, wheel_sr3, wheel_sr4, wheel_lr3, wheel_lr4, wheel_or1
1, wheel_sr1, wheel_sr2, wheel_sr3, wheel_sr4, wheel_sr5, wheel_sr6, wheel_lr1, wheel_lr2, wheel_gn1, wheel_gn2
2, wheel_lr1, wheel_lr2, wheel_lr3, wheel_lr4, wheel_lr5, wheel_sr1, wheel_sr2, wheel_gn4, wheel_gn5

I then found out that every car has a wheelModelID in the vehicles.ide (Last number in a line for a car)
0 is for regular car, 1 is for Street Racers and 2 for LowRiders.
Other cars like the Yosemite, Sadler, Bikes and such have -1 in that row.

I tested it with both the Yosemite and the Sadler so I'm 100% that they work!

So there you go Offroader, wheels for your cars! biggrin.gif

Just to update on my last post..

The reason why, when for example you make the Banshee a lowrider, the car only has access to 5 wheels or so is also because of the wheel group.
If you look closely at the code snippet above, you will notice that all three wheelgroups have the wheel_gnX in it. These are the wheels that you will then see when you make the Banshee a lowrider, as the game checks the cars wheelModelID and only shows wheels from that category in the shop.

So, even if you set the flag of the Banshee as LowRider, you have to edit it's wheelModelID in vehicles.ide to 2, to get all the LowRider wheels when entering the LRmodshop. smile.gif

Oh, and I just tested wheels out on Bikes. The games doesn't crash, but it ain't pretty confused.gif
