from car talk
I bought one of my dream cars a few hours ago. Pics when it's daylight, but there's a slight chance it's the car in my sig c:
Well it snowed overnight and my DSLR isn't weatherproof so enjoy these low quality images. But here it is.....I finally own one! It's a 1992 205 Junior with a 1 liter engine. Not a big fan of the five doors and the white color but what can you do. I was looking at car ads for a while and I saw it pop up. Didn't have much on the clock and it looked pretty well. Sat by the phone all day to see if the guy had sold it because someone was supposed to go and buy it. He didn't and we went over to the village where it was being sold. We looked at it, drove it up and down the hills. Runs amazingly for a 40hp car. It was only 600 euros for it's condition so we bought it.
Right after buying it:
something had to go wrong immediately. The key won't go into the ignition to the fullest. We tried WD40 but nothing. So now the wheel is locked and the car is on the street just sitting there. I've searched forums and I've been told the best option is a locksmith. So now I have a guy who worked on the Clio's locks and key coming in tomorrow to look at it. But yes
If anyone knows if this is fixable (as in DIY), any help is appreciated
