Did a couple things this week. My wing kept bugging me as the riser was constantly losing screws and falling off so I removed the wing. Then I decided not to fix it and just replace it with something else, so I did... with a low rise Evo X wing. It fit perfectly so this week I plan to respray the trunk and the wing. I also had a spare set of tails so I made a set of all reds out of bordeom lol.

All red looks really good, not a fan of the wing though. Looks out of place, not because of the mismatched color but shape.

I hit junkyard paydirt today. An E34 came up at a junkyard after an engine fire, and it was owned by an enthusiast with plenty of goodies left:

OEM mudflaps (worth ~$100 - yes, there are people that will pay that much for mudflaps for some reason), Euro sport wheel (worth ~$200... assuming I don't keep it, which I'm really tempted to), M5 rear plate filler (worth ~$100), E34-specific floormats (only the driver and rear passengers - front passenger melted in the fire; no idea how much they're worth ~$24 apparently, but I'm keeping them for my own car anyway), two road triangles (keeping the smaller toolkit one, no idea what the bigger, blue case one is worth yet), another one of those sh*tty OEM cupholders (will likely do a giveaway for it in the E34 facebook group like I did last year, because I f*cking hate those things), and new emblems. And I paid $75 altogether, $60 of which was for the steering wheel & airbag.

Pretty f*cking good day.

Bought this today, it's a 1995 BMW 740i. Bought it for next to nothing. Needs a little tidying, but shouldn't be anything too serious.

What color is that? My first guess would be Islandgrun, but it seems brighter than that. Looks great, though. I would be very interested in picking up an E38 some time in the future if not for the fact that they're exclusively automatics here in the US; I've already vowed to myself that the next car I buy absolutely will not be an automatic, unless it's just some insane deal that I couldn't pass up.

Edit: so, this happened tonight:

The truck's alternator died and we couldn't find the tow strap, so we had to improvise with a coil of braided cable. A rare example of an old BMW towing something instead of being towed itself.

Finally got me a single slot garage which is not so easy if you live in a flat in a big city.

It's Ascot Green. Bit of a meh colour in my opinion. Only paid 800 for this, so I'm a happy camper

Painted the wing & top of the trunk to repair the damage from the old one, really glad with how it turned out.

After dealing with this for 4-5 days...

cw9MR7P.jpg

...it was nice to finally get it running

jbrUpPw.jpg

The starter took a sh*t on me randomly a week ago or so and was basically f*cked, so my uncle helped me get a new one and we replaced it. Only reason why it took so long was because of one stupid bolt that was rusted and tight, and it's in such a tight area that it was incredibly difficult.

So now that painting is in progress, the all new fresh decals are all delivered for the 1986 WS6 Trans Am.

KsRG1Wq.jpg

You wouldn't believe how hard it was to find a brand new Pontiac badge in chrome/black background.

Also got two other Pontiac badges restored which will be placed on the engine valve covers. I like details like that on engines. IMO the engine of a car should look at least as good as the car it self.

Also for those who like to see how things are made, i'll make a topic later on in a few weeks how i'm creating a brand new aero wrap around spoiler from fiberglass. For example this is the mold that i made a short while back, which is now being used to create said fiberglass spoiler.

Bottom side on the left, topside right. That huge red thing on the wall is the very large hood of the car.

wT4AVaV.jpg

Orginally i thought of making a carbon spoiler, however with this spoiler design it wouldn't have been that much of a better choice for strenght, a lot more expensive and i would have painted it black anyway, because Carbon on a 80's car looks off.

Also i won't be using the cheaper matting you see most often used, i'll be using high quality fiberglass cloth.

Just picked up this 2017 Chevy Spark. It's small, clunky, and weird but kind of cute. Has one of those CV transmissions which always feel weird to me. This car has almost no options. It's taking me awhile to get used to the crank windows and manual locks lol..I had a 2002 Buick that I bought in March that was supposed to be my "winter car" but the engine blew up for no apparent reason. Whoever had it before must've beat the piss out of it. My bad for not having it properly inspected by my own mechanic before buying it. Ugh. Anyways, I want to garage my G8 for the winter and can't do it with the Buick now. Went to a Chevy dealership and got a pretty good deal on this thing.

I kept most of the broken pieces so I taped them together & stuck them back in with electrical tape. It's not brand new but it works and I haven't been stopped by the police yet so I must be doing something right.

Sweet, just needs a few more things before its complete.

Black Steelies, paint them black! Or gold, that will go good with the black. It really will.

Rear spoiler, Got to have the downforce to go with the scoop. Nowadays you can just stick one on without the use of mounting hardware.

Just search up Universal 1.38m Car Trunk Lip/Ducktail/Rear Roof Spoiler Stick On Molding Trim.

Who cares if it flies of into a bikers face and he wraps himself over a speedsign or guardrail right? At least he won't ever forget you had a spoiler.

And raised white letters on those tires. I suggest using a white or red plastidip. Using anything from tire brands online as a template, cut it out and paint over it.

Talking about spoilers. Popped mine out of the mold today, all thats left now is merging it and finishing it. All finished it will weigh in at about 5kg /10lbs max.

nqUFhYX.jpg

VKPcZtO.jpg

Haven't cleaned it yet which is why it looks so weird. Most of it is releasing agent. I'm very happy with how it came out.

Some more pictures of the wrap around spoiler project:

Don't know if i'm breaking any rules by posting this, but this beauty used to be mine up until a few months ago. Sold her to buy something more sensible for the family, a 2010 Volkswagen Golf Variant 1,6 TDI bluemotion. Might post some pics of it soon.

Always had a soft spot for the old Kadett's. My uncle had an 'which i think was a '1986'' Kadett 2 door back when i was a young boy. I remember he painted the bumpers the same red as the rest of the car and the grill black along with the wheels. As a kid i thought it looked awesome. I believe he drove like 200k on it before it was scrapped eventually because of severe rust that was eating the car away like a cancer and the engine was on its death bed.

My uncle had one too. The car is half good looking, half boring in my opinion. Interior is like in any 80s car. This is the first german car we've ever had.
