I bought this one earlier today. Had to travel to Boulder City, but it was worth it. I still have to get new license plates though.

Still need lower springs and stiffer shocks.
But the current issue is the airbag light, which I can't read or remove because I don't have the right OBD scanner...
So now I need to go either find a cheap one, or dip into savings to get a proper one because taking it to VW for just this one fix is going to cost almost as much anyway...
And I need to go through safety inspection by the end of this month.

Welp. Worst thing about your best friend also being your mechanic? He knows just how broken your car is, and makes you park it until you fix it. The good thing? He gives me the keys to his winter beater to drive until I can fix it! So now I find myself back in a E46 for the time being lol.

All now thats left before painting the WS6 is priming the front bumper, the back of the car, hood and make a new fiberglass spoiler.
Just to let you guys know, the front bumper was hellish to get right. Going to prime it tomorrow. It looks perfectly sharp, no flaws anymore, anywhere.
And finding a front bumper for this WS6 edition is hard as hell. Finding one thats not deformed/damaged for a reasonable price is near impossible.
Here is what needed to be done:
Then another like 91 screw holes needed work.
This is how it is right now. The day before priming.
Its as straight and sharp looking as it was when it left the factory.
For those who don't know what caused this, it was caused by a wrong placed licence plate. Which was placed on the front point of the bumper nearly 25 years ago when it was imported. This caused a straight licence plate to pull on the two flat surfaces creating those bulges and deforming the point.
Which is what you can see right here:
From here on out, I won't put a licence plate on the front bumper anymore, instead i'll make a removable bracket. Wich will be a very small USA style licence plate.
The latest sh*t heap
$500 not a bad deal really
Send you a pm, might be helpfull.

You're making me feel real basic.
I just end up using 5W-30 all year round. Don't think I've actually used any other grades in any of my vehicles within the past ten years or so.

In my country you can't have custom license plates. Even Lionel Messi wanted to have a custom plate and our "DMV" said NO. He wanted a "Messi10" license plate and he could only achive getting both numbers to be "10" but with random letters just like you can see in the picture:
Meanwhile in the neighboring small country of Andorra:

Denmark has full customisable number plates (9100 DKK; 2-7 letters/numbers). But I always shake my head at custom number plates. They are not that cool. Plus with regular plates, you can be 'anonymous' or rather, 'let the car do the talking, not the plates'.
Yeah i can understand that sometimes custom plates can look horrible or just luck of taste. Since in my country there is a lot of hate between different political sides, i bet most "annoying" plates would be Political motivated and even things like "///AMG" on a E320 CDI Mercedes.

She's back on the road! She does need a new rack and I guess a rear axle now too, but both aren't bad enough to keep her off the road... yet. Started working on it right away though at my parents place though after picking her up from the shop so I haven't driven her too much, but the lack of the rear wheel bearing howling is very nice lol.
Today I took off the old bumper and test fit the new one and fogs. Then I washed it, removed my hood padding and found where the mice made their home so I tossed that in the garbage. Then I waxed it, tore out the back half of the interior to clean it with bleach to get rid of any more mouse smell. Tomorrow I'll fix some foglight wiring, replace my headunit and put it all back together hopefully!

My girlfriend has been wanting a newer car for a little while now, and though it isn't a Porsche Macan.
It still is a lovely car.
To her surprise, I bought her a Mercedes-Benz CLS350 from G Brothers Mona Vale Sydney.
That's one more to add to the collection.
Now she can go to the shops without borrowing my car

The new Tacoma's are probably the best looking trucks out on the road next to the new F150, it should be pretty reliable as well. Great choice!
