Delicious snowfoam!

I'm going to have to give my car a detail at the weekend or next week. Some apish f*ckwit scraped my rear bumper yesterday but amazingly it doesn't look to have done any permanent damage.

They are pretty nice with an LS1 swapped in. Otherwise it's usually just more time spent wrenching on them than driving them.

This was my first time taking impromptu shots on the side of the road; I'm happy with how they came out. I'm getting it painted in July and putting on the style 4 wheels I bought from Lurch, so I may wait until then to post more pics.

This is my parents car. It is a Nissan Pathfinder, 2010 reg plate. Day lights, satnav, including fuel mileage on the screen. Including MP3 player, heated seats, parking camera from just the back, and a few more things

(this is the picture before I was about to powerwash it)

My red Volvo is turning black  :rol:  hehe, After the clutch break I kind of just put it on the parking lot for a few weeks, well now I started working on it.

I have been stripping out allt the interior, only the driver seat is left.. Gonna change the clutch next week.

Next to it you see my latest purchase, my 4th Saab 900, this is a 2.0i -96. Got it last week, given to me, with a broken fuelpump and a bad batteri though!

We'll see what will happen to it!

Not smart enough, though. :p

Got it last monday, and couldn't help myself, so now it looks like this:

az_clioiv1.jpg
Fitted a set of H&R springs, lowering it by 30mm front and back. So much better in the corners now.

az_clioiv2.jpg
Black Sparco Assetto Garas in 7x17" wrapped in 205/45R17 Goodyear EfficientGrip.

az_clioiv4.jpg
Swapped the red trim with black ones. Still trying to procure ones for the front and back, too.

az_clioiv3.jpg
Fitted a spoiler from the R.S. 200 version. I chose this picture because you can't tell that the painter didn't get the white hue juuust right. :p

Those Sparco wheels are very similar to the ultra-light Team Dynamics Pro Race 1.2s I'm planning on fitting to my Leon:

achyW08.jpg

How do the H&Rs ride? I've been looking at getting a set to pair with Koni FSD dampers.

Only just drove it home from work yesterday after fitting them, but the ride was a lot more comfortable than I'd thought. The Clio's chassis is quite firm and responsive in the first place, so I feared that it might get too rough, but it was feather smooth. :)

The wheels in the Front are Toyo Proxes R888?

I gotta ask. Why 17's on the Clio? They're 4x100, right? Looks like you don't need the brake clearance and 15's are probably much, much faster.15x8's would probably be the ticket. 9's if you wanted to run a fat 225.

1. It's a 75 hp diesel. Fastness is not relevant.

2. Fuel consumption is relevant, however. Wider wheels/tires = more wind resistance, less miles to the gallon.

3. They look f*cking ace. :)

225s fit fine on an 8". I'm running 225s on 7.5" wheels at the moment.

Yeah, but, they're faster on a 9. Of all the small cars (NA/NB Miatas, Hondas, Minis, MR2's, even one Yaris) I routinely run with, the fastest street tire setup is 225/45R15 Hankook RS-3 on a 15x9. Others run a 195/50 R1R on anything from a 15x7 to an 8. I think most of the time, a slight stretch is faster (though it depends on the tire). Running 195/50 Federal RS-R's on a 15x7, I've always wondered if it would be a little better on an 8. Firmer sidewall, slightly more contact patch, etc.

Even for normal street driving on a car that will never be driven in anger. 15x7 with a 205/55 would probably be better than a 17 with a 205/45.

Yeah I've noticed there's a bit of sidewall flex on 7.5"s. Not a bad thing from my perspective because a) it shields the wheels a bit from kerbing and the like and b) compensates for the chronically under sprung, over damped suspension, but it isn't great for feel when pressing on.

Does it pop out both sides, or just on the right? Looks a bit ghetto, but sounds awesome. :colgate:
