What colour would you say my 744 has?

What year is that model from? I really like these old boxy Volvos.

I used to see a blue one, a bit older I think, with quite a lot chromed parts I remember, until a few time ago, here in Spain. It's true that they are becoming rarer to spot :)

Put the Volvo away for the winter last weekend.

I quite like that car. Something quintessentially Swedish. I don't think cars like that really exist anymore.

F*ck yes! Fellow Subi-er. Love both of your cars, those little turbo Leggys always make me happy :inlove:  Props for getting Enkei's too :^: How're you liking Invidia so far? I'm looking to pick up a Q300 (quad tip) catback for mine soon. Not sure if I want to couple that with a Cobb downpipe or an Invidia one. Here's my daily driver, 2013 WRX Hatch. Mostly stock right now except for a Stage 1 tune:

My very small mod list:

-RallyArmor mudflaps

-Cobb Accessport V2 running Stage 1 & 4500rpm Launch Control

-BlueBat taillight Overlays

-all-around 30% tint

-Cobb shift knob

-STi short shifter (came factory installed)

Cat-back and rear sway bar are up next, hopefully pretty soon. Followed by a high-flow catted downpipe.

Far into the future plans call for 18x9.5 black Enkei NT03 or RPF1's, lowering an inch or 2, and a full catless engine-back (headers, uppipe, DP, etc) exhaust and a Cobb protune. See how far I can push it on stock turbo, hopefully squeeze it past a healthy 310whp+. We'll see, gonna be a few years  :panic: Keep up the Subie love  :^:

Thanks for the kind words, unfortunately I walked out to my car this morning after being forced to park in a spot that I literally have only parked in one other time in 2 years and this is what I saw.

I love the Invidia I have the N1 Race which is a 3in all the way from turbo back so in my opinion it give you the definition of Scooby Rumble. Soft and mellow just cruising very smooth, then when you get on it the boy really opens up but never gets raspy. Great quality welds and craftsmanship and a pretty reasonable price.

At least the damage is limited to the wing and hasn't creased the bonnet or damaged the light or bumper. $30 at the scrapyard (you might even find a matching colour) and a couple of hours with a spanner and problem solved.

Yup in fact this has giving me a reason to look for some sedan fenders which are more aggressive and wider. I'm more upset with the thought of a person smacking my car and just leaving, my car means so much to me and I do everything I can to keep it looking and running right. Then someone just comes along and ruins it in a matter of moments, then disregards the responsibility. Just a bummer.

Damn, just sucks. I was in the process of writing about the sedan fenders when I refreshed and saw this post :p Do it!

Yes, that looks way better.

I don't know why they went to effort of manufacturing an extra bland body panel in the first place.

Yeah I know right, the wagons are the only model that has the rolling style fender. All of the other categories get them Impreza, RS, WRX, and STi but not the Impreza Wagon...

I have thought a lot about the sedan fenders since I have owned the car and just didnt have a excuse to do it, now I do. I hope its a blessing in disguise and the process goes easy.

Right now I'm stuck in a Rover Metro. It was the cheapest at the time and I just decided to stick with it.

But I'm saving up for this. I only a few paychecks away!

Haven't really had the time to come on here for the past couple weeks due to family stuff. Anyway, as some of the regulars know I had a deposit for a Merc SLS but decided not to get it when it arrived. Obviously Merc wouldn't give me my deposit back but they did let me choose something else so I picked up a brand new white C180 Coupe for my mum. Isn't bad considering how little power it has and my mum loves it.

Wow...those are in excellent condition. The Merc looks lovely. What i love with that era S class is that you dont see them really often, i have seen W116 maybe 2-3 times only.

There is still some work to do on both cars, some rust here and there. The engine of the S has been taken care of, when I bought it it ran on 5 cilinders instead of 8. Now it purrs like a kitten haha :p

But I don't know where you're from, but here in the Netherlands the Opel is rarer than the W116 S-class ;) But most of the W116 here are 6 cilinder 280SE's or 280S's, mine is a 350SE

And thanks for the compliment :)

Marcus, I love those old Benzes, the ones from the 70 are fantastic. i'm a big fan. The Opel too, seems a bit "special" for a winter car. I would hate to see it ruined by a northern European winter!

When I last checked the numberplate register here there were 341 350SE's left in de Netherlands with a valid plate and only 171 1.3S D-Kadetts. Due to the 'not really a classic' status these cars get scrapped more easily, to the point that they are becoming more and more rare here in the Netherlands.

It coated all around. The underside, doors, inside the wheel arches and even the engine bay. So enough rust protection, but if al else fails, I just weld it ;) And I will be careful with it, bought it from the original owner who had the car since 1984, but couldn't drove it any more, due to the fact that the car lacks power steering. And the car had to go to someone who would take good car of it and that is no problem with me :)

Thank you! 126's are great too, have seen a lot of them in my club, SE's and SEC's, but the car looks to modern for my taste, that's why I love the 116. You have the modern comforts of power steering and electronic injection, but the looks of a real classic, with the double chrome bumpers!
